The Promise
Before we went and rescue L'Hirondell we had obtained the documents We we're going to checkpoint where we were gonna be picked up by Major Bastion.
S. Cole: keep on moving.
While we we're going Jacob said
Jacob Hall: Hey sarge, we...
Pufffff
a bullet was shot at Jacob and he dropped when it hit him they we're too much Nazi's behind us. I tried to nap his tags but I couldn't.
S. Cole: Jacob!! JACOB!!!!!!
The promise That we made:
Jacob had made me promise to bring his tags back to his mama should anything ever happen to him. After he hit the ground, I scrambled to get them. A bullet whizzed past my ear before I could of nab them and I had no choice but to keep moving and leave him where he had fallen. I still wonder if they gaved him a grave or if they left him for the birds...
L'Hirondell
Wed been slogging through northern France for weeks. The allied invasion had begun and days were starting to bleed together... I was fighting blind-- not knowing where we we're -- just focused on advancing on the mission at hand. She snapped me out of that nightmare. Made me realize that there was something more than war and suffering. Made me human again... For a time.
