The Dare

Wishes come true

I wake up in a hospital bed, cuts and bruises fill my body. I can't move and start to panic. All of a sudden I see Jihoon pop up next to me, also freaking out.
"Hey! You okay! Oh my god, you're awake!!!" He says grabbing my hand, his other hand going to my neck.
"What happened..."
"We were going to the amusement park. Car accident. Your side got hit pretty bad. They said we got lucky! You were close to being paralyzed! Your okay though! Just the medication thats making you numb."
"How bad did I get hit?"
"Fractured arm, that's about it. The car took most of the damage. I'm so glad you're okay!"
"How long have I been out? Where's everyone else?"
"Well it's been about two days, it's noon so everyone's in class."
"Two days?! I'm sorry, are you okay? Are you hurt!?"
"I'm fine, I got the less of it, just a few bruises."
"Thank god, I'm so sorry I should've been paying attention! Fuck I'm so sorry, it's my fault..."
"No! It's the other persons fault, not yours! Don't be sorry! Okay?"
"Hey! He's awake!" Minhyuk screams as he walks in, everyone following.
"Hey! Glad to see you up and, well up!" Kihyun says.
"It's good to be up, good to see you guys."
"So is it true? The myth that you can hear us talk to you?" Wonho asks.
"Uh, kinda. I heard some things but I don't really remember."
"Awesome! It worked!" He yells passionately, falling quiet as nobody else reacts, making everyone laugh.
"Uh, hey..." dan says walking in.
"Uh..." speechlessly I turn to Jihoon.
"Don't worry, I called him."
"Sorry, I just wanted to, uh, give you these." He says handing me a bouquet of sunflowers, with a note; "You made my day, get better soon!"
"Thanks~"
"I should probably leave, sorry to intrude."
"Hey Danny! Is this him?" The guy from the picture walks in grabbing dans hand. His statement makes me scared.
"Yeah,this is seungcheol, He was the guy I met at the bar."
"Nice to meet you seungcheol, I'm phil, his husband!" He says shaking my hand.
"Yikes, awkwaaaaard~" vernon says under his breath, saying what everyone's thinking.
"Sorry, I just wanted to meet the guy he couldn't stop talking about." He says laughing, causing dan to blush. I blush as well and laugh.
"Anyway, we should get going. Nice meeting you!"
"You too!" I say as they walk out, waving.
"Alright, awkward." Jun says.
"So anyway, when you getting you getting out of here?" Shownu asks.
"Not sure, hopefully soon, I just woke up."
"We have to ask the doctor when he comes back."
"Okay, lets hope they get back soon then!" Shownu says giving his warm smile.
"Okay. So seungcheol..." Jihoon starts.
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember what you were telling me before we got hit?" He says. Cutely playing with my hospital wristband.
"Uhm...not sure..." I start. I begin to blush a deep red as the memory comes back to me.
"Oohhhh~ What were you gonna say cheolie?" Minhyuk playfully mocks my blush.
"Uhm..." I laugh as I see Jihoon giving me a suggestive look.
"Well?" He asks. I laugh into myself before speaking.
"I was going to say..." I start.
"I think what you started saying was 'I lo...?" Jihoon mocks. Making everyone Oo at us. He raises an eyebrow at me signaling me to speak.
"Okay okay. Jihoon, I...love you..." as I say this the room erupts with Ooing and cheering. Making me and Jihoon laugh.
"I love you too seungcheol." Jihoon makes everyone erupt once again. At the peak of noise the door opens and the doctor walks in, greeted with the sudden noise making him laugh.
"Good to see someone's awake." He laughs, suddenly the room falls quiet as everyone realizes the doctor walked in. "I assume you're doing well? How long have you been awake?"
"Yes, I'm not sure? Maybe a half hour?"
"Good good."
"Okay well wait outside for you guys. See ya!" Wonho says, leading the group out of the room.
"So since you're awake and well, we are going to have to do a few muscles tests then you should be able to go soon!"
""Really? Awesome!"
"Yep! So I'll get in the nurse to help you out with the tests and I'll write up your prescription for the pain and you can be out in no time!"
"Sounds good! Thank you doctor!"
"Of course." He says before walking out. Soon after the nurse walks in to give me my tests. I start getting ready to change my clothes to see Jihoon packed a fresh outfit for me, complimented with the hoodie he made me give back to him. At the bottom of the bag there's a note.
             Good to see you're up! Hope you like the hoodie. Like I said before, it's too big and I never wear it...so you can have it. Also I may have used it as a pillow... love you! ~Hoonie ♡
I awe to myself as I read the note. I blush as I put on the hoodie over my clothes. I put the note in my pocket before hearing a knock on the door.
"Yeah?"
"Are you dressed? I have your prescription!" The doctor says nicely.
"Ah yes! Come in!" The door opens and the doctor hands me my prescription.
"Take care! I definitely don't want to see you back here!" He laughs.
"I will, hopefully I don't have to be back here!" I say making us laugh. We part ways as he walks out of the room and I finish gathering my things. I walk out of the room only to be greeted by the single Jihoon.  "Hey! Love the hoodie, thanks for letting me keep it after all."
"Yeah yeah." He says laughing and giving me his cute eye smile. I return the eye smile subconsciously, adoring his cuteness.
"So where'd everyone go?" I ask as I put my arm around him and begin walking out.
"Class. They missed a lot of time from school being here so their professors are irritated with them."
"Ah~ What about you then? Don't you have class too?"
"Yeah but I care less. I just wanted to be here to see you wake up again. I only left once, to get your clothes and sleep a bit. I used your bed by the way."
"That's okay" I smile.
"But jun drove me back to your apartment so I can get you some clothes. Then he let me fall asleep because I was so tired."
"Awe. Did anyone stay with me when you left?"
"Yeah, minhyuk and Shownu stayed. They got to know each other a lot. I think a little too much if I say so myself." He says laughing. I smile at his cuteness.
"Why? What happened?"
"When I left at about 10pm they were on the opposite sides of the room and when I came back the next morning..."
"Oh god..."
"Minhyuk was passed out on shownus lap." He says bursting out into laughter. "They don't know me and Jun know about that though. Oh! I even took a picture!!" He says getting excited, pulling his phone out of his pocket.
"Oh I have to see this!" He clicks his phone open and pulls up his photos.

"Oh my goooshhh!! Priceless!" I laugh.
"I know! Ah~ we totally have to use this against them later!" He says laughing as he puts his phone back in his pocket.
"Definitely!" I say giving him a smile as we walk out the hospital doors. "Okay boss, lead the way!" I say gesturing for him to walk me to his car.
"Uh... this way?" He says questioning himself. He leads us to his car successfully. "I'm driving this time!" He mocks, laughing. "Too soon?" I laugh back at his humor.
"Nah, it's funny." I say climbing into the passenger seat. He starts the car and dives us to my apartment. He parks the car after what feels like hours of complaining about someone taking his spot.
"Jihoon, that's probably someone else's spot, not just yours. Learn to share you little cherry tomato." I say mocking his anger and his size, earning me a playful punch in the arm. "Hey! Be careful I'm injured!" I joke, we laugh and get out of the car. We start heading up to my apartment as he goes in his phone. I stop him from running into the block cylinder outside by grabbing his shoulders and using them as a steering wheel to guide him into the building. We laugh once he puts his phone away and we get into the elevator.
"Turn around." He tells me.
"What?" I laugh.
"Turn around!" He yells laughing. I don't budge, until he forces me around.
"Look if this is some kinda fetish you have...I'm judging you...but not shaming you.." I mock.
"Oh shut up!" He says putting a blindfold over my eyes."
"Yep. Definitely a fetish..." I mock again, making him laugh slightly.
"Just shut up!" He laughs as the door rings open. He walks me to my apartment door carefully. Once we get to the right door he knocks and the door clicks open.
"Okay now I'm really judging." I say, getting no reaction from him this time. I use my other senses since I can't see. I smell cake, and other baked goods. Kohima definitely been cooking, I just wish I was around for it. He makes the best brownies ever. I feel Jihoon slowly untying the blindfold. I keep my eyes closed but jerk them open once I hear everyone.
"SURPRISE!" They all cheer. Balloons and decorations everywhere saying phrases like welcome back or home sweet home. I fall to my knees in shock, a good shock this time. Blushing and smiling. Everyone seems so happy I'm alive.
My birthday wish came true after all~ All my best friends. More friends, and a lovely cute boyfriend.
