Rose's POV

Since Marissa and I didn't have anything to wear, and going home would take way to long, we stopped into one of her favorite stores, Charlotte's, ten minutes from the field I was in. Hunter waved us in, and sat on a bench right outside the door. He had already had on a grey 3/4 sleeved button down and nice jeans.

We must have tried on at least twenty dresses each. Marissa ended up with a body hugging, sexy, maroon and gold aztec print tank dress, and I walked out with a black open back dress with long sleeves that came just to mid-thigh,with golden studs on the shoulders, around the neckline and the back. We both decides to wear gold shoes, she choose gold, strapy Roman style heels, and I went for classic round toe six inch stilettos. We bought our outfits, and headed to the cars to change. After that we headed back out toward the fields. I thought they were going to continue out towards the next county, but they pulled to a stop close to where they found me. Apparently we were waiting for someone else. It took about ten minutes for a silver jeep pulled up next to Hunter's pick up. It was.... Dalton.

He looked so good. He kind of walked up near me.

He smelled good to.

That blue shirt really made his eyes pop.

Wow, I was creepy.

"Rose, you look... breath taking." He said quietly so Marissa and Hunter couldn't hear him. my phone rang, breaking the moment between us. He cleared his throat, and I answered my phone. It was Walter.

"Young lady, you come back home right this instant!" he yelled at me.

"I would, but I don't have the money to move back to California." I retorted.

"Quit being a smart ass and come back now. I gave you time to cool off, so get back here and apologize to Sheila and I."

"Why the hell do I need to apologize?!?! I was defending the woman who raised me!! Sheila insulted me and my mother, and I am ashamed to know her and ashamed to share your genetics!! My mom deserves to be treated like a queen, and the bitch you call a wife doesn't deserve shit!!" I had walked away from the group, hoping they hadn't heard me. I hang up, not wanting to hear another piece of crap coming out of his mouth. I then went into my contacts and blocked his and Sheila's numbers. I walked back to the group.

"Everything okay?" asked Marissa.

"Perfect." I replied. "So, whose ready to dance?"
