Niall's POV:
I started to sweat like crazy. I was stuck in a daze.
I stuffed my hands in my pocket as I stood there blushing. She had just kissed me on the cheek. I had only met her today but I felt like I had been waiting for this my whole life.
"Hand me your phone, if you don't mind I would like to put my phone number in it," Cindy spoke with a smile on her face.
"Most definitely!" I said handing over my iPhone while she handed me hers.
After we had exchanged numbers, she gasped out of nowhere.
"I forgot about my cousin! When I was pulled out of the crowd...she's still here, how could I forget?! I need to go, I'm so sorry but I'll text you!"
I gave her a big hug and didn't want to let go but I knew I had to. Without saying anything else, I watched her run down the hallway until she disappeared.
When I went backstage, there was barely anyone there but a few people who had apparently been looking for me.
"Oh thank goodness you're ok! Niall, where were you? What were you thinking by running into those swarm of fans?" a lady from management questioned.
"I'm sorry," I muttered as I started to walk to the dressing room to collect my stuff.
I noticed that all the boys had left already.
I woke up to the sound of......nothing. Silence. Usually my alarm clock was going off. But then I remembered, I have off for a month and we're staying here in New Jersey and occasionally promoting our music in NYC.
I remembered what I promised myself to do as soon as I woke up: call her.
Cindy's POV:
*Baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed...*
I woke up to this ringing in my ears. Someone was calling me. I rolled over to reach my cell phone.
"Hello?" I mumbled sleepily without looking who I was on the phone with.
"Hi Cindy," a familiar Irish accent spoke, "It's Niall."
My heart started racing really fast, butterflies fluttered in my stomach, my knees started trembling & shaking, and my eyes became wide.
"H-h-hi Niall!"
"Haha hello, how are ya?" he questioned with his adorable accent.
"I'm good..really good..but tired."
"Wait, did I wake you up? I'm so sorry! Go back to bed and call back later, I feel awf-"
"Niall! It's ok! Don't worry about it, it's almost noon anyway and I'm glad to hear from you," I said but then admittedly started freaking out inside. He would probably think I'm weird.
"Well I'm glad that you're glad."
Even though I couldn't see him, I could tell he was smiling. I was so thankful no one was around me to see how red my face was. Was this possible flirting?
I realized I had forgotten to respond because I was so lost in my thoughts when Niall asked, "You doin' anything today?"
"I'm not now," I flirted.
"Great then wanna meet up at the park by the hotel I'm stayin' at?"
"Yes I'd love to!"
After giving me the address, we ended our phone conversation. In about an hour I would be hanging out at a park with Niall Horan. A big smile spread across my face.
My ringtone started playing.
I was hoping it was Niall again, but it was Kara. I hadn't even told her anything that happened besides the obvious: I was tackled and washed away in the sea of teenage girls.
Before I could say anything, Kara started shrieking, "Ahhh! There are rumours all over the internet that you & Niall exchanged phone numbers last night! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!?!?!"
"Kara, calm down girlie! Don't believe everything you see on the internet..."
"So it's not true?"
"No it is!" I screeched with joy.
After screaming together for a few minutes, I told her the whole story.
"OMG WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME LAST NIGHT OMG OMG OMG!"
"It all happened so fast, I was overwhelmed!"
I wrapped up the phone call so I could get ready.
I wasn't sure if I should wear a cute blouse or a simple dress; I scanned my closet to find a cute blue sundress with floral pattern on it. Then I grabbed my favorite pair of Doc Martens to complete it.
Once I was changed, I quickly straightened my hair and put it into a fishtail braid.
I rushed over to my vanity, grabbing my makeup bag that sat on my floor. I put liquid foundation on, but not too much. I quickly spread eyeshadow over my lids, giving them a glossy look. Then, I applied cover up, mascara, and a tad bit of eyeliner. All that was left was a lip product. I wondered if I should use a lipstick, balm, or gloss. An image of Niall kissing me appeared in my head. My tummy turned at the thought of it, just in case I put on some Burt's Bees lip balm.
I collected my stuff and threw them in my purse, I was so excited to see him.
Without even eating breakfast, I had my mom drive me to the park to go see Nialler.
Niall's POV:
After taking an extra hour to get ready for my park date with Cindy, I started walking to the park because it was only a short distance from the hotel we were staying at.
I was so excited yet nervous to see Cindy. What if we don't end up liking each other, after all, we don't know each other? I mean, she knows me as Niall Horan from One Direction, but not the real me. And when I saw her yesterday, I felt like I was in love from just one glance. Oh shut up Niall, you barely even know the girl! For all you know she can she be a psychopath! Well a really pretty psychopath.
I arrived at the park and waited for her for what felt like hours but only about 20 minutes. A black minivan pulled up by the curb and a beautiful young women I had met last night stepped out of it, cheeks rosey red of embarrassment.
"Hi Niall," she said softly but with a smile.
"Hello Cindy," I said as I watched the minivan drive away.
There was an awkward silence.
"You look...absolutely beautiful," I blurted out. Oh shoot she's going to thing I'm weird.
"Thank you," she said in that sweet & soft tone of hers as a big smile spread across her face.
"It's really lovely out today, isn't it?"
"It sure is! Why don't we walk down the path for a bit?"
"Sure!"
Cindy's POV:
We walked on the cement path while Niall told me a story about a crazed fan or something. I wasn't paying much attention to the story, I kept staring at his blue eyes and the way he had his hands shoved in his pockets like he was nervous.
I think he noticed I was zoning out on him, so he asked me what I thought of the concert last night.
"It was wonderful. You boys really put on a show, I had loads of fun."
He smiled at me and I saw his clear braces that made his smile o-so more beautiful.
"Ya know Cindy," he began in his heavy Irish accent, "You are breathtakingly beautiful and I'm sure I'm not the only lad to notice. Would you like to go for dinner tomorrow night?"
My heart was racing and pounding, I could feel my breath getting heavy so I gulped and said,
"I would love to."
