Chapter Eight: Alex POV

School is exhausting. Shit my life is exhausting. I don't know what to do anymore. I haven't talked to my dad since I moved here. Which was June. The week after school got out last year. The month after which should have been the best time of my Junior year. I wonder how he's doing?

But why do I care? It's all because of him that I moved here. He's the reason my life has been so fucked up.

I hate him. I hope he rots in hell. Actually I hope he just rots. My life is hell right now, and I don't want him in my life.

Bang. Bang. Bang. Owh. I need to stop thinking about him. About the past. It gives me a headache. It feels like somebody is using my head as a woodblock and their just pounding away with a hammer. I need a nap.

I roll over on my stomach. Oh, I so need this. A nap. A nice long nap.

Starting to dream about how wonderful this nap will be and CRACK. My door is flung open. A raging Maci storming in.

"May I help you?" Why can't I have a nap?! Somebody please tell me why?

"We need to talk! Maris will..." Maci is cut off by Marissa rushing into my room. Out of breath.

"What... Is... Going on?" She looks at us. "Well, somebody tell me! I got over here as fast as I could!"

"Big news! Peter..."

I cut her off, "PETER WHAT?" What did that asshole student molester do to my cousin!

"Don't get your panties in a wad." Maci smirked. "Or shall I say boxers?"

"Um, hello?! Is someone please going to tell me what the HELL is going on?!" Marissa was yelling at us. I forgot she was even here.

"Maci is fucking our English teacher." She looked confused. Maci busted into a fit of giggles. "Mr. Kelly?"

She turns away from me and looks dead at Maci. "YOU WHAT?"

"Chill out, Maris. I'm not fucking anyone. Well, at least not yet."

"You and Mr. Kelly? You are seeing our English teacher?"

"Yes, Maris." Maci answered sounding kind of annoyed.

"And how come you're just now telling me?!" Marissa had me laughing so hard I fell of the bed. She wasn't mad that her best-friend was messing around with a teacher. She was mad that no one had told her.

"It just happened Saturday" I clarified.

"Well, actually it kind of started Thursday..."

"What?!" Maris and I both shouted.

"Yeah, in detention. But that's not why we're here."

"Then why don't you tell us Mac!" I snapped.

She stalled for a second. "Okey ! Well, today in English we got our papers back. And Peter gave me mine last." She smiled, "and he touched my hand. He's the sweetest. Well, anyway I got a ninety. Can you believe it! Me getting an A on an English paper. I mean I'm smart, but essays are never my..."

"We don't give a fuck about your grade!"

"Well, sorrry!" She glared at me. How could I help it. She was trialling off and honestly I didn't care. I just want to hear juicy shit about our sexy English teacher.

"Anywaaay! He wrote on my paper!" Marissa looked at me then back at Maci. What the hell? He wrote on her paper? What the hell else did she except? It was graded work!

"NO! You fools! He wrote on my paper. Like a note." She held her paper out. Dangling it in front of our faces. Marissa snatched it. Ready to read the note.

***Marisa POV***

I can't believe this. It's unbelievable. My best-friend and my English teacher. And how come I'm just now being told this?

That's got to be the unbelievable part. Maci had always been kind of... adventurous. But for her to not tell me about her fling with our teacher. That's just crazy! And she told Alex. Alex of all people. What the hell? I thought she hated Alex. I'm so mad. I'm going to have to yell at her about that later.

But this note. Written by Mr. Kelly our teacher. My oh, my. What am I going to do with her? Having an affair with a teacher.

Wait? Is it an affair? I don't think he's married and Maci isn't in a relationship. I suppose it technically wouldn't be called an affair. Ah, what the hell I'm just going to call it an affair. But this note. I need to stop starring at it and just read the damn thing.

Okey, here we go.

I look at the girls, then back at the note. "Maci. You look beautiful today." I can see Maci out of the corner of my grinning like a fool. "I know I could get caught writing you this note, but I just couldn't resist."

"GO ON!" Alex barked at me. Rude.

Okey, where'd I leave off. Ah, there. "I would like you to come over to place Friday night. Would you? Please! Here's my number. Text me your answer. Love, Peter." Maci was blushing by the time I finished reading.

"Isn't that just the sweetest!"

I smiled at Maci, "Yes!" I'm happy for her. Why? I should be ripping her head of because she didn't tell me. But actually I wanted to jump around the room holding her hand.

Maybe they'll get married! We are seniors!? "Mac you're going right?!"
