After walking for 10 minutes freezing my butt off, we finally arrived at the large red brick house. The music could be heard from the halfway down the dimly lit road. Maggie led me up to the front door that was left open, you couldn't see what the inside of the house looked like because it was filled with bodies. We managed to squeeze through the bodies into the kitchen, where I was greeted by a mystery alcoholic drink. I sipped it, the alcohol burning my throat. Maggie had found her friends and introduced me to them.
"Everyone meet Em" she smiled. The group that were slumped across the sofa looked up. There were three girls that looked a lot like Maggie. They all had colored hair and tattoos. My eyes met one of the girls but she just scoffed and looked away. Bitch.
On the other sofa was some boys, they all had tattoos and piercings. They were quite hot though, I quickly went back to my drink, avoiding the awkward stare that was being given off by one of the guys that was sat on the sofa. Maggie got into conversation with a few of her friend whilst I awkwardly sat there. I had finished my drink so I had nothing to do but stare at my feet. We had been at the party for at least an hour now but it felt like days, why did I even come? I knew this was going to happen. I got up and dodged through the bodies to the kitchen, I figured that the party would be more fun if I was wasted. I grabbed a red plastic cup from the counter and filled it with the alcoholic punch. As I turned around I felt something hit me, sending my drink all over me.
"Sorry" the drunk guy slurred. I huffed and walked back to my position on the armchair. I heard Maggie mention my name, and then a girl looked up at me in complete shock.
"Oh my god you dated Bradley.. Will .. Simpson" she squealed. I sighed, knowing that I would need to explained that we had broken up three weeks ago.
"Yeah for a bit, but not anymore" I shrugged. I wanted to subtracted myself from the conversation because memories of Brad and alcohol does not go hand in hand. I quickly got up before the loud and annoying girl could say anymore. This party was not fun, I wanted to go home but I had no clue where we were. I grabbed another drink before making my way upstairs, it was quieter there. I was reluctant to open any bedroom doors, knowing what I would find. After listening outside a door for a while I thought it was safe to go in. There was no one in there but it wasn't a guest room, I was in someone's bedroom. I flung myself back on the bed, spilling my drink, my mind had become a little foggy, how many drinks had I had?
After ten minutes of peace, the door flung open. I sat up worried that the owner of the bedroom had come in. There was a guy standing against the door frame, I recognized Maggie's hair, even though I couldn't see her face because it was being smushed against the handsome looking guy's. They finally pulled apart after their make out session, to find me awkwardly standing in the middle of the room.
"I...i'm" i stuttered "just ... er um" I nodded towards the door "gonna .. go" I said quickly before running down the landing. Shit....
In my determination to leave that awkward situation behind I fell down the stairs. it was made 100 times worse because I had taken the guy that staring at me on the sofa with me.
"Shit I'm sorry" I quickly apologized before making a dash for the door. I felt like a a fish out of water, I was so lost and clumsy. I'm not a party person...
It was even more colder now than it was when we walked here. I sat on the
brick wall outside the door. I felt someone else's presence behind me so I quickly turned, meeting the boy I had just tackled on the stairs's eyes.
"Hey" he muttered as he came to join me. The moonlight lit up his features, he was very good looking. He had light brown hair that was styles up into a quiff and beautiful brown eyes.
"Hi" I sighed as I swung my legs.
"You sound bored" he laughed
"I am bored" I sighed
"A party is like the least boring place ever" he smiled.
"I'm not a party goer though" I said.
"Woah seriously, I couldn't tell" he said, his words dripping with sarcasm. I gave him a small smile before focussing my attention back to swinging my legs.
"I'm max" he said
"Em" I said as I put my hand out to shake his. He laughed before grabbing my hand and shaking it.
"I know, Maggie introduced us" he laughed, and I automatically felt stupid. "where is Maggie anyway?" he frowned and I couldn't help but let the laughs escape me
"What?" he asked as his eyebrows furrowed.
"Maggie and this guy walking in on me sleeping" I laughed as his mouth made and 'o' shape. We both laughed for a while at Maggie's expense.
"This house is amazing, who's is it?" I asked max as he turned to face me.
"My parents" he smiled. I let my jaw fall as he grinned at me.
"Seriously?" I asked
"Yep" he laughed
"Do they mind you having parties here?" I asked
"They don't know I do, what they don't know won't kill them" he replied. I shivered and max noticed and brought an arm round me.
"Do you want to go inside?" He asked and I nodded jumping down from the wall. I turned to the door but max's hand found my wrist and pulled me back to face him. Before I had any clue to what was happening I felt his lips on mine...
