Adrian was dreading to go back to senior year only because of one reason. That reason was none other that Mayo Alejandro Sebastian who was an ex team mate and new crush of his. Mayo had managed to take over Adrian's mind, soul and heart during summer break and that caused the boy to not do anything other than thinking about the other boy. Adrian always knew he was bisexual but he'd never thought about a boy as much as he thought about this particular boy. Mayo was basically going to be his first boy crush and hopefully boyfriend one day. Adrian also knew that Mayo was practicing celibacy but that was not his major concern as long as the other boy at least liked him. The thought was driving him insane because he did not know how he was going to confess and how Mayo would essentially react to his confession. That is why Adrian dreaded going back to school.

Hannah Riola had an idea about Adrian's dillema and all she could really do was be there for both her friends. Her best friend who had no idea a boy liked him and her ex boyfriend who was visibly freaking out a few hours ago. It was currently eleven at night and Hannah Riola was face timing Issa about tomorrow which was the first day of school.
" A, is freaking out about Mayo, he's being a little overdramatic but I hope it goes well." Hannah Riola voiced giving her boyfriend an update on the issue.
" Rio, I call he's going to back out last minute, he's such a pussy, he's going to freak out and run away instead of growing some pair and actually confessing. I Mean we've tried pep talking him the whole summer, but he'll not go through with it, I bet you a hundred..." Issa voiced back almost as if he was basking in Adrian's dillema. He eventually became friends with the guy which was a good thing for Rio and that made things easier for her since she didn't have to choose sides now. Yaay for her.
Rio and Issa talked for forever until Rio eventually fell asleep while talking to Issa who chuckled and slept too. Tomorrow was going to be a long freaking day and they needed all the energy they could get.

On the other side of things, Adrian did not sleep a wink beating himself over what to say tomorrow, whether it was the right time to do so, what would happen if Mayo rejected him. A whole lot of whole basically. Morning came faster than he anticipated and that brought him nerves from the deepest part of his being. He got up and dressed up and made his way down stairs to have something to eat. Would he be able to keep his breakfast down! That he doesn't know. The only thing Adrian was praying for was not to embarrass himself and Mayo.
" Today's the day huh? His dad asked with concern in his voice. His Mom was looking at him with concern written all over her face too.
" Yeah... It's nerve wracking really. Do I have to go to school today?" Adrian asked trying to back down. His dad tried to ease the moment by stating the obvious which was Adrian had to welcome the freshmen team since he was captain of the basketball team. He essentially had to be there on the first day of school if not for the classes. That lightened up the mood and gave him some distraction from the main issue.
He met with his friends and they made their way to orientation at the school auditorium. All the while he's was trying to spot Mayo but the boy was nowhere to be found.
" He's not here! " he exclaimed. That seemed to calm him down.
" He didn't tell me he's wasn't coming back to school today... He should have called me by now. " Rio commented taking her phone out and trying to contact Mayo. After some time she pulled a concerned face.
" He's not picking up, why is he not picking up, oh my God!" She said choking up on some tears. Issa just hugged her to assure her everything was okay while looking at Adrian with a puzzled face. He could tell the boy worried about Mayo and that worried him too. Issa wondered how Adrian could keep so calm talking to the freshmen when he was called to the podium to welcome the freshmen to the basketball game that night.
" Thank you again and please enjoy yourselves tonight." Adrian concluded and took the principal's hand for a shake. Everyone clapped for him and you could tell people loved him and hopefully Mayo would too... Hopefully so.
