Eddie fell asleep in peace that night. After he and Richie had woken up, they made out for a bit and then went back to bed. Normal Richie stuff.
When they woke up, Eddie had his hands in Richie's hair, an Richie had his huge legs laying over Eddies tiny ones. Eddie woke Richie up, and then gave him his glasses. He honestly loved Richie's huge, 4-inch thick glasses. It made him look Richie. Without the glasses he just looked like some hot teen model or something. Eddie wasn't complaining of course. It just wasn't his boyfriend.
Richie woke up surprisingly easily, Eddie normally has to bribe him with pancakes or something to get out of bed. His boyfriend woke up excited, happy. Why? Eddie had no fucking clue. His dad had kicked him out of the house, Eddie's mom could hear them and kick them out of there too, but Richie was happy as happy could be. "You're in a good mood today," Eddie said.
Richie smiled and grabbed his bag to take to the bathroom. He knew the rules; He took a shower and left the water on for Eddie to get in, so his mom wouldn't hear the water turn off. It was a natural thing now, hiding from parents. Richie and Eddie's parents never got along, Richie's haven't been sober a day in their lives, and Eddie's mom was always snooping for anything to ground him with.
"Well, I have a plan," Richie tapped the side of his head, above his ear. "Right here, righttt here."
Eddie had no clue what the plan was, but he was ready for anything Richie was up for. Running away didn't even seem so bad at this point. He heard the shower water turn on, and picked his clothes out. Richie's old ACDC shirt that he stole years ago and some white ripped jeans would do. The jeans weren't even white anymore, having spent so much time with Richie they had burn marks and stains on them from Richie's cigarettes.
Eddie backed up into his bed and let himself fall onto the soft cushion. He sucked in all his breath and held it. He felt for bones, anything. He checked his collarbones, his hips. Hips were still a lost cause, but he could still try. Trying was the hardest part. Trying to slip it past Richie and all the other Losers. Trying to fast for as many hours as possible. Try.
Eddie got up off the comforting realm of his bed, which now was a mess and smelled like Richie's shampoo and cigarettes, and peered downstairs. His mom was still asleep on the couch, so he was okay to go down. He tiptoed into the kitchen to grab Richie a few pop tarts and some milk. Eddie was just going to tell everyone he had already eaten.
Eddie quietly walked back up into his room where Richie sat, quietly drying his hair. "Hurry up, you're wasting water Eds!" Richie whisper yelled as Eddie picked up his clothes. "Since when have you cared about wasting water?" Eddie whisper-shouted back.
Richie laughed quietly and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. Eddie walked into the bathroom and collapsed onto the counter. It wasn't so much fangirling, but he was with Richie now. He had Richie. The most perfect person in the world had picked a 5'5 teenager with anxiety and anorexia to be his boyfriend. Why? Why was he the chosen one?
