Mel
The snap back was fucking real for me right now I literally just had a baby and I was back to my regular weight. when I came home from class Plump's mom told me that Dallas had picked up the boys and when I got home they weren't there. I sent him a text asking where they were and he told me they were out some place for kids. Since he done that I decided that this was my me time, so I decided to go to Home Goods and do some more shopping since the new house that me and Dallas just moved in was still pretty empty.
I loved coming in Home Goods they had everything you could think of and then some. I remember coming in here when I was thinking about living on campus and how we were debating on how my dorm room should be decorated. That one thing I was missing out on living like a actual college student and having a dorm and a roommate but hey having a five bedroom four bathroom home with a huge ass backyard and even though he wasn't planned I love my son to the fullest and Dj.
My phone rang bring me out my thoughts "hello" I then heard Dallas voice "baby you going to cook tonight or do I need to pick up something"? Mel sigh "Dallas if you want to get something go ahead I'm currently in Home Goods" Mel said over the phone. "Alright bet I was already in Popeye's drive-tru anyway". As I was looking though little sculptures and things I heard my name. "And don't be spending to much money in that place Pooh" Dallas said through the phone, but I was now paying attention to the person who called my name.
"Bryson"? I said "Who is Bryson" Dallas said "baby let me call you back" with that Mel hung up she had just ran into her ex. "Damn girl I haven't seen you in years" Mel smiled "fine how about you how have you been"? He grinned "straight attend Jackson State right now what about you I know you at Yale or something" Mel chuckled "Nah just started at Spelman couldn't leave my family" he nodded "you was always a church girl I knew you wouldn't be able to leave you mom and pops".
Mel swallowed hard and looked away "well my dad died few months ago and me and him weren't talking before he pass and me and my mom aren't talking neither. When I meant family I meant my boyfriend and kids". He seemed shocked "sorry to hear about you and your parents situation, but you got kids little Melody"? He started grinning and so did I "yea well my boyfriend had a kid he basically looks at me as his mom and then I recently had a little boy, so yea just a little family is all". He nodded "damn you know I always wondered how you was after you know we broke things off and I moved away".
Mel looked at him as he talked Bryson was always a fine African man when they started dating it was their tenth grade year. Everything was going good until Bryson wanted to go that extra step, Mel wasn't ready so that placed a strain on their relationship and eventually they broke up. Like a week or two later he moved away and it was the last Mel had seen or heard from him.
"Ole boy whoever he is, is lucky to have you in his life" she smiled at his comment "he is but what you doing down here"? He replied "My mom is moving back she sent me in here to get some white pillows for her bedroom she left the one she bought back in Memphis" Mel nodded "oh wow how is she"? Bryson shook his head "still a crazy women she had breast cancer but they got it removed so now she back here to be closer to her doctor". Mel nodded "Pooh...there you are I've been looking for you in this big ass store wassup bruh I'm Dallas" Mel was shocked to see Dallas walking toward them with the boys.
Dallas
"Thanks again Dallas" Dallas watched as Dj played on the slide while Noah slept in the stroller. "Yea your welcome Michelle" after the first meeting with Michelle coming back in town and wanting to be back in Dj's life I wasn't really for it, but she kept asking to see him again and I gave in. I knew I was going behind Melody with this but I knew she would've felt some type of way so I didn't bother to tell her just yet.
"You guys are doing a good job of raising him" Dallas nodded "yea we are" she looked down at Noah "remember when Dj was that small how afraid you was of holding him and changing him that's when things were good between us"? Dallas looked at Michelle as she looked back at him. "We should be going" Dallas said breaking the eye contact "umm alright let me just hug Dj I would like to see him again Dallas".
He saw this coming he had a feeling she was going to ask this wasn't suppose to be a reoccurring thing. "I have to think about it" they both stood up and she replied "he's my son too Dallas" he grinned "you signed off your rights you aint shit" she threw her hands up "your right what I did was wrong I wasn't myself after we stopped you know, but I went and got help and I wanna have a relationship with him" Dallas sigh "man just let me think about it".
She picked up Dj seemed like this visit he warmed up to her and she gave him a tight hug "please tell Melody I don't need no problems" Dallas replied "come on Dj time to go home to see mommy" he started clapping and getting happy "yay mommy..." "tell Ms. Michelle goodbye" she placed him down on his feet "bye lady....daddy push". "Really Dallas"? "Ill call you letting you know if I decide to let you see him again have a good day Michelle".
So in the car I call Melody as we talked I heard a niggas voice in the background who the fuck was that. When I asked she hung up I didn't even bother waiting in the Popeye's line I just placed the truck in drive and drove the fuck to Home Goods cause this girl had me fucked up. Walking around I finally found her down the plate isle with this nigga who looked like a fucking square they were smiling and shit yea time for me to fucking intervene. "Pooh......"
