"Cori you just going to throw up on daddy like that" I said changing her outfit after she threw up on me and herself. All she did was giggle she thought this shit was funny. Today Naomi had class and since it was raining and shit I decided to stay home with Cori and spend some father daughter time. Of course Naomi wasn't feeling me being alone with a two month old, but shit I kinda know what I'm doing. Long as she saved the shitting in the diaper until her mom gets home. Since that night Naomi showed me Penelope's body after telling the guys we took the body and dumped it somewhere , where no one would find it.
Naomi didn't talk about it since that night, but I could tell her doing that changed her a bit. My phone rang looking at the caller ID I saw it was my cousin Marcel.
"Yo" he replied "wassup cuz what you doing"? I snapped Cori's onesie and replied "spending the day with my daughter". He laughed "Naomi left you alone with y'all daughter"? Corey sucked his teeth "man nigga I know what I'm doing" he said making his way to the living room with Cori falling asleep in his arms as he walked.
"Yea alright anyway you'd never guess who I got a call from this morning". I asked "who"? "Justin he called me wanting me to pick him up from the airport. I haven't heard from that nigga in like five years after we fought at my mommas house over a bitch. I'm thinking like why the fuck he ain't call you his brother to pick him up. Nigga sounded all fucking sad and shit saying I was his only hope and shit what the fuck is going on"?
I blew off and told Marcel everything that happen with Justin. Marcel was quiet for a minute "yo that nigga wild as fuck just because shawty thought she was pregnant he did that shit yea he deserve what he got coming to him". Corey asked "did he say when he was coming into town"? Marcel replied "yea next week he said he'll call me back with the specific date" Corey nodded and set up a plan "you call me after he calls you I think I should pick his ass up from the airport". Marcel chuckled "yea I'll call you" he said "alright cuz thanks for the heads up" he replied "no problem how about you don't kill my little cute baby cousin I hope Naomi hurry up and bring her ass home". Corey sucked his teeth "man bye".
After getting off the phone with Marcel Corey calls Cre and let him know what he knew and the plan he was thinking. "Good, good sounds like a plan I'll give the other boys a head up". After hanging up Corey gets a call from Naomi .
"How's my baby"? Corey answered "she fine she ate threw up and is now asleep" she laughed "she threw up on you"? "Yes she did, but when you coming home baby"? Naomi replies "baby I have two more classes and then I'll be on my way". Corey sigh "man I thought you was going to be home before she shit in her diaper" Naomi laughs "I don't bae but if she does just change her it's not going to be hard" that was something Corey did not want to hear.
"Alright man I love you" she grinned "I love you too I gotta go this campus is confusing I would start on the day when Plump and Mel both don't have class". Corey smiles "well if you don't find the class come home please" she laughed "bye boy" and hung up. Corey sat the phone down and reached in his pocket "soon very soon".
Naomi
When I got home I saw that Corey and Cori were knocked out asleep in bed . They looked so peaceful that I didn't want to wake them up. There was work that needed to get done so I grabbed my laptop and Corey's marijuana stash and headed downstairs so I wouldn't wake them. Plus I don't like smoking around my baby. Today was crazy and I didn't want to tell Corey what happen.
When I got out my last class my grandmother called me. She told me she was running behind on her rent and that she was going to get evicted soon. That's one thing about my grandma she hated that I was her grandchild until it was time when she needed something then I was the first she called.
She went on saying she knew I had the money because of the boy I was dealing with. When I told her the situation about me having a kid and putting myself through school since I was no longer under my track scholarship she cursed me out. Saying how could I've gotten pregnant and jeopardize my life. This is why I never told her then when I told her I wasn't going to send the money because I wasn't obligated to she dropped some shit on me I never knew.
"I don't know why your momma stole you anyway should've left you with that white bitch you no good heffa" and then she hung up. The whole my momma stealing me was on my mind ever since then, so before I started my paper I started to look online of missing kids.
After scrolling and scrolling for about two hours I came across a article. A women had taken her one year old to the park one day and was attack by another women and the lady had stolen her baby. Looking at the picture I knew for sure it was me I covered my mouth and started to cry. My heart began to ache "baby didn't know you ..... what's wrong" I looked up at Corey.
"I'm not who I am........."
