Background

Continuing on from the universe where Nya replaces Sensei Wu and Kai Garmadon.
Benthos is the green ninja. Kai has returned to conquer Ninjago with his army of stone statues. Brought to life using destruction. Benthos requires help from those he knows. Leading to a confrontation with family. Takes place in my Omiverse Series

Kai pov

The sight was wondrous to my evil heart. My stone statues marched forward. Taking town after town. The marching was a sound that my ears welcomed. The sound of stone clashing with the ground making a sense of pride. I had mad this happen. I had used destruction to bring them to life. Now I would see my plans through.

Benthos pov

We approached my mothers shop. It was closed to the public due to mum having opened it for us for the day. As we entered. Mum hugged me tight as she spoke. "Benthos. I'm so happy to see you this day." I groaned as the ninja laughed. She took note of my groan and let go. She then spoke. "Happy birthday" I sighed as we all sat down. Mother noticed me looking sad. When she moved over to me. She spoke. "I know you wish your father was here to celebrate with us. I miss him too. But his evil has caused him to miss this." I nodded as I felt a single tear fall down my face. "He wasn't here for so many years, banished to the underworld for his evil. Now he's vanished." I watched as my mother nodded. I soon felt someone hugging me. But it wasn't my mother. Turning my gaze. I saw Milly Turner. The master of speed and my crush. "Hey green boy. How's it going" I sighed and explained what was happening. Soon, my mother turned on the tv. The news board cast was on and what we saw was something that shattered this day even further. "Reporting in from Ninjago city. Lord Kai is attacking with a stone statue army. Reports from all over Ninjago have come in that many other villages have already fallen. If the ninja are watching this. We need you now" I was already out of my seat as the other looked to me. "We need to stop my father from destroying Ninjago. And I don't care what day of the year it is. He won't take away this city."

Kai pov

I watched from a distance. Looking on as my army attacked. One of my generals soon approached me. Turning to face him, he spoke. "Your orders my lord." I smirked as I replied. "Find my wife and son. I want them to witness my moment of glory." I paused for a few seconds before I added in one last thing. "And get them here fast." He nodded as he left. Turning around. I looked at another general and spoke. "You, I want Ninjago palace destroyed. Build me, a fortress in its place that I can rule from." Turning to another general. I spoke again. "You're going to bring down the police force, oh, and burn the police station to the ground." Turning to my last general. I smirked as I spoke. "And you. Ensure the ninja don't get close, or any of their allies. I don't need them ruining my glory." The generals nod as they leave. Turning back. I look on.

Benthos pov

"Benthos, your fathers forces are attacking several locations at once." I looked on before I replied. "I can see that Milly. We need to split up. Sensei, you, Mum, Milly and I shall take down my father. Carly, you and Brady go and protect the palace. Cole and Zane, protect the police station. Garmadon and Wu will draw out any forces you think they can get out off Ninjago City. Ninja-go"

Kai pov

I continued in till I stopped suddenly. I sensed my sister approaching. And with her was Benthos. And Skylor. Along with a master of speed. Intriguing. Turing around. I spoke. "Come out and witness my moment of glory. You'll never stop my stone army." I could hear Benthos laugh. But behind it all. I could hear anger. As the four emerged. I readied my battle axe. I wasn't going to go down without a fight. "Off all the days you has to attack father. Why today?" I knew where Benthos was going with this. But I saw a green ninja in his place. I swear I felt water in my eyes as I eyed him up and down. Soon, I spoke. "My child, you've grown since I last saw you" Benthos was fast to snap back. I could tell he almost regretted his sudden rage. "You don't get to say anything dad. You weren't there for most my life." I sighed as I stood forward. I then spoke. "Then you don't get to call me dad, or father. If I can't complement my own child. Why should he get to complement me." I had succeeded in forcing him to draw his katana. He charged forward. I brought up my axe. Blocking his strike as he came at me again. This time from the side. I had to move back to avoid his slice. As we continued on. He soon caught me off guard. Sending me back. I tripped over a rock. Falling to the ground. My axe falling a distance from me. Looking up. I smiled as he pointed his blade at my throat. "You've lost father. Now surrender." I sighed as Skylor walked over. I then spoke. "I'm proud of you son. But I'v always got a plan B for situations like this." Staring deep into Skylor's eyes. I spoke. "Hold him back. I can feel the dark magic inside my body lifting." I watched as my sister walked over. Benthos still didn't back away. Closing my eyes. I heard a scream as someone dragged Benthos away. I felt the dark magic lift. Opening my eyes. I then spoke. "Run. If this dark magic is to ever be gone. Then it will explode. Go. This is my gift to you Benthos. Happy birthday." I saw a tear in his eye as he was forces away by Skylor. Looking up to the dark magic. I closed my eyes. Waiting for death.

Benthos pov

An explosion rocked the area. Looking back. We watched the dust clear before moving in. The area where my father once stood. Was a large pile of rubble. My first instinct was to start digging. Look for his body. After some time. I felt my mothers smooth gentle hands pull me back before she spoke. "He's tone Benthos. Nothing could survive that explosion and still be intact." I sighed in defeat. The other ninja arriving soon afterwards. The stone statues were frozen in place. No longer able to move without the dark magic empowering them. As we started to walk away. A voice spoke. But it wasn't one that I was expecting. It was my father. But his voice sounded free from evil. Turning around. He looked over at us before he spoke. His body was its natural colour. No longer black. His eyes were his natural amber instead of red. "My child. I live." My mother was the first to speak as we hugged. "But how?, nothing could survive such an explosion and remain intact" When we separated. The two hugged. Looking to the sky. I saw a bright blue ball hover down. When it spoke, it pulsed, it spoke in a proud voice, calm and full of good nature. "Your father has proven that even my brothers corruption can be overcame. Consider this a birthday gift from me Benthos Ray Smith." Everyone was quick to look on at the blue orb before it continued. "But now, I must return to the alpha universe. For my brother shall be vengeful. Beware of his heralds within your realms ninja. Be ready for the rise of the Lords of darkness. And most importantly of all. Remain balanced between order and chaos." With what he said done. He vanished. Or well, his blue orb vanished.
