Kai is in need of help after a mentally and physically hard battle against the Oni of Vengeance.

Third person pov

The room was dull and miserable when Kai sat down upon his bed. The recent battle against the Oni of Vengeance had was a mental battle for him. The Oni of Vengeance had brought back many dark, painful and sensitive memoires. Many of them painful. Kai sighed as he placed his head into his hands. The atmosphere around him was intense and cold. Which was odd for the elemental master of fire. His room was always the hottest room in the Monastery.

As Kai let a few tears slide down his face. He heard a calm yet concerned voice. Glancing up to the door, Kai caught sight of Skylor's orange outfit. "May I come in Kai?" Kai glanced back down. Skylor could feel the rooms temperature already. She shook it off as she walked in and sat down next to Kai. Skylor could see the tears slowly but surely sliding down his face. Placing a gentle hand upon his shoulder. She could see the issues going through his mind. "Look, we know that things are hard right now. But we need you out there." Kai made a small glance towards her before he closed his eyes.

"I know you guys need me out there. But I've got to solve several things. Both mentally and physically." Skylor nodded in understanding as Kai expressed his current condition. "We all have issues that must be dealt with. But those that are mental can be healed with the help of others. But those physical issues can be overcame Kai." Kai looked up. Sighing as he looked away. The room was tense as the two thought.

"I need to face these issues alone Sky. I can't cope with them when others are around." Skylor was taken back by Kai's sudden change in tone. The calm and genuine tone he often used was replaced by a serious and saddened voice. Skylor took a deep breath before she responded. "I know how you feel Kai. But it's ok to allow others to help. Your family is here fore you, Jay's here for you. Wu's here for you, I'm here for you. You just need to open up. Let others come in."

Skylor's small comment elicits an angry response from Kai. "I don't need to let others in. I'm fine how I am Skylor. I don't need others around me." Skylor looked on as Kai immediately showed regret for his sudden outburst. Kai pulled himself away from Skylor. Keeping his distance. "I'm sorry Sky. I didn't mean to say that." Skylor remain still. Her eyes locked with Kai'. The atmosphere was now more tense then before. Skylor slowly moved over till she was next to Kai gain.

Kai was almost in tears and ready to break down before Skylor pulled him into a hug. "Let it out Kai, it's ok. I'm here for you." Kai let his tears out as he buried his head into her shoulder. "I don't know what came over me. I need to allow others to help me." Skylor nodded as she held Kai close to her. Nya soon appeared at the door. Skylor mouthed that she'd explain later.

Skylor pov

I looked down at Kai. He was sleeping so peacefully. It was kind of cute seeing him so peaceful. Slowly getting up, being careful not to wake him. I made my down to the living area. Most of the other ninja were out. All but Nya were out hunting down the Oni of Vengeance. He was the only one who managed to escape the same fate that befell his fellow warlords. Walking over. I sigh as I sit down. Nya glancing over. "How is he?"

I knew who she was talking about. "He's fine. He's sleeping peacefully right now." Nya nodded before glancing back at the table. "So, what happened?" Resting back against the couch. I looked forward. "The Oni of Vengeance made Kia relive several painful, dark and sensitive memories."

Nya nodded in understanding. Glancing towards the hallway leading down to the master of fires room. "So, you helped him get through it?" I nodded, answering her question. "Yeah, but he's still got a long recovery ahead of him." "Helping others is often the best way to build up strong bonds. As iron sharpens iron. Sister sharpens brother." We both glanced up towards the origin of the voice. Wu stood, holding his new bamboo staff. Stroking his beard. He smiled.
