"(F/n)? Where did you put my folder?" Mom shouted downstairs while I was playing something on my phone.

"That was in your drawer." I shouted back and I heard her coming upstairs.

"That was the old one, I need the new one." She said as she peeked inside my room.

I sighed and tossed my phone at the side. I stood up and started to help mom finding the lost folder she needed.

"See, I told you it's here." I said and handed it to her.

"What? Ugh, my vision isn't clear anymore." She mumbled and thanked me after that.

"You should get glasses, mom." I sat at her bed and watched her fix her things.

"Sooner." She replies and I just rolled my eyes.

"That's what you said last year." I mumbled and went to my room.

Mira
Calling...
Accept|Decline

I saw the contact flashing and I quickly went to my bed and picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked and I only heard things being moved.

"Mira? What are you doing?" I asked while laying on my bed.

"(F/n)! I'm leaving!" Mom shouted from downstairs.

"Okay, Mom! Be safe! I love you!" I shouted back and I heard the door being closed.

"Mira?" I asked again, but I only heard breathing.

"If you think that you're gonna get revenge because of my prank yesterday, well, it's certainly not working." I stated and waited for her to groan and cuss at me.

But there's no reply.

Nothing, but just the breathing that I keep hearing.

I was panicking slightly since Mira isn't this good at pretending, especially when it's pranks.

"Mira... I swear this is not funny." I told her and waited for an answer, but I got none.

I got out of my bed and went downstairs to put on my shoes.

"I'm going at your house." I said and expected her to shout and say that it's a prank, but the call just ended and that got me more worried about what's happening to her.

And then something popped up inside my mind, something that suddenly made my heart to beat fast and for me to quickly leave my house and started to run to Mira's house.

Please tell me that's not what I think it is.

I keep repeating those words inside my mind while running and dodging people on the street.

I looked up the sky, it was clear, no one could have ever thought that below that sky can be a person dying or in danger.

Smoke.

My eyes widened, the clear sky from lately was suddenly covered up with smoke.

And I started to run faster as tears keeps falling on my face.
