Jax

"Why are we here?" Roxanne asks me as I pull in front of her apartment building. "Shouldn't we be going to the bar?"

"I'm not bringing you there, love," I tell her, my words coming out a little harsher than usual.

She pouts. "I could be of help, Jaxon."

"No."

"But-"

"I said no, Roxanne!" I growl at her and I feel her shy away from me. She hops off of my bike, not looking at me, and I instantly feel regret. "Shit, I'm sorry. I'm just stressing about this shit and-"

"Just go Jax," She says, forcing a smile. She kisses my cheek and heads towards the entrance to the apartment. I can feel her disappointment and it hurts me, but I don't stop her. Instead, I watch her disappear inside before taking off down the street to the bar.

I'm teetering dangerously on the edge of sanity as I speed through the city. My entire body is shaking as my fury builds inside me - creating an everlasting fire within me. All I can see is red and the thirst for blood is all I can taste.

I'm going to kill someone.

I'm going to kill the Myers.

William Myers killed my father without even hesitating. My father was on his knees in front of him, completely defenceless. He didn't have a gun. He didn't have his men to protect him. He only had me and his own two fists - that's it.

So when William surrounded us with thirty of his men, I knew we were dead. I had to watch my father being shot down in front of me before being spit on by every single one of the Red Devils that surrounded us.

I vowed to have William's head that day and I will be damned if I don't get it soon.

As I pull into the bar's parking lot, my fury turns into pure rage. Devastation surrounds me. There are bullet holes covering the building. The windows we just replaced are smashed. Bikes are knocked over - some even on fire. The evidence of injuries is everywhere.

There is no way we got out of this unscathed.

The bar door is opened with such force that it bangs against the wall. Axel comes barrelling at me, aiming his fist for my face.

"Where the fuck were you?!" He roars as I duck, his fist narrowly missing me.

"You know where I was," I growl.

He throws another fist at me, this time hitting my jaw. My head snaps to the side and I feel my control escaping me. "You better have a damn good reason for doing that," I state through gritted teeth.

"She's fucking dead! They fucking killed her!"

"Who's dead?" I ask him, my impatience building.

He roughly rubs his face. "Adalyn," He says, his voice low and thick with emotion.

"What?"

"She's fucking dead. The Myer's kid got her. I couldn't get to her before he put a bullet into her." He says as he looks at me. There are so many unspoken words behind his eyes - so much intensity - and I have no idea what to say to him right now.

"I'm sorry man."

"I'm gonna kill him, Jax. He's fucking mine. I wanted to tell you that first. I am going to beat the living shit out of him until he's begging me to end his fucking life." He says before turning on his heel and heading to his truck. He's in a dangerous state of mind right now, but there is no stopping him. I would be a fool to stop him.
