Warning! Sexual Abuse is mentioned in this chapter.

Pansy and Hermione laid stuffed on their beds.

"That wasn't the best idea we've ever had," Hermione moaned.

"Agreed," Pansy muttered. " I feel like I'm going to explode." Hermione nodded in agreement.

"I know I've already said this, but today's been a long day. I think I'm ready to go to sleep," Pansy groaned as she sat up. "I don't even want to go through the trouble of removing my makeup, showering, getting changed, and brushing my teeth. I just want to collapse and fall asleep right now." Hermione nodded as she sat up too.

"I wish I could. But I also don't want to feel disgusting as I drift off." Pansy sighed.

"I guess you're right. I'm going to go shower then." Pansy stood and grabbed some clothes.

"Can I use the shower after you?" Hermione asked, not bothering to stand. Pansy nodded as she opened the door.

"Fine with me. As long as the pests don't come back and demand they shower first." Pansy started to close the door.

"Pests? Do you mean those other girls?" Hermione laughed. Pansy smiled and closed the door. Hermione sighed once more and stood up. She stumbled over to a mirror and examined herself. The chaos of the past few weeks had for the most part distracted her from Ron and his constant abuse. Unbeknownst to everyone around her, she cried herself silently to sleep every night. She had constant flashbacks of the time that he raped her. Hermione thought sadly about all of the times that she, Harry and Ron had laughed together. About the adventures they had gone on. She saw a silent tear fall down her cheek.

Hermione turned away from the mirror and composed herself. Without grabbing anything else, she decided to go on a quick walk. She left a scribbled note to Pansy and went out to the common room. There, she found Draco and tried her best to leave without him noticing her. Of course, this didn't work.

"Granger? What are you doing?"

"Do you need to know?" Hermione asked, trying hard to keep the sadness out of her voice. Draco shrugged and turned to go to the boy's rooms. "I'm going on a walk," Hermione answered suddenly. Draco turned towards her.

"This late?" Draco asked.

"Well, the Eighth Years are allowed to be out of bed this late. Why don't we take advantage of it?" Draco smiled.

"Well put, Hermione. Mind if I come with? I need to clear my head." Hermione hesitated. Finally, she nodded.

"Fine. But I won't be talking to you. I need to clear my head too." Draco nodded and headed towards the portrait hole.

"Coming?" he asked when he noticed Hermione wasn't following.

"Oh, yes," Hermione responded. She followed him quietly out of the portrait hole.

"So, where are we going?" Draco asked as Hermione caught up.

"No where in particular," she responded. They fell silent and Hermione's eyes fell down to her feet.

As they were walking aimlessly, Hermione thought about Ron. She thought about how he had changed so much in so little time. She wondered what he had meant when he said he had started beating younger kids up a long time ago. She also thought about what he would do if he found out Hermione was attending the Winter Ball with Draco. She thought about all of the past beatings and how they had gotten worse and worse. She wondered how bad this one would be.

"Hermione?" Draco asked suddenly. Hermione looked up. "Are you coming?" She hadn't realized that she had stopped walking. Draco was standing a few feet in front of her. "Are you crying?" he asked more firmly. Hermione reached up and felt her face was wet. She was crying. She felt more tears fall down her face. She quickly wiped them away.

"I have to go. I'm sorry, Draco." Hermione turned on her heels and started to run. Only to feel her arm be grabbed. She instinctively pulled away. Memories of Ron's beatings flooding her mind. She started sobbing. The ground seemed to sway underneath her. She couldn't see straight.

Hermione felt her back hit a wall and flashbacks flooded her mind from the night she had had nightmares about. The night that had scarred her. She remembered Ron pushing her up against a wall. She slid down it and continued to sob.

"Please don't," she cried softly. Hermione lost all sense of where she was. "I'm sorry," she cried, even softer than before. Through her blurry vision, she saw someone crouch in front of her. Scared out of her mind, she started swinging her arms. Sobs racked her body as she felt her hands get pinned to the wall. Unable to hear Draco calling out for her to calm down, she continued to cry. She couldn't see as Draco's eyes filled with fear and worry. Paralyzed in fear, she fell limp.

Draco's eyes widened and he started to yell for help. He scooped her up into his arms and started running for the nurse.

Author's Note

I'm sorry I haven't been active in over month. Something just came up and sadly it's not the best thing. I won't say much about it because I don't want to be a downer. But I'm sorry I haven't been active. I'll try harder. Kiss Kiss.
