Castiel crosses another day off of his calendar before changing the number on his whiteboard to 32. Ever since Gabriel had starting being a little shit about Sam's older brother, he had been counting down the days until his 18th birthday.
Being so close to finding his soulmate but not knowing was driving him insane. Gabriel loved messing with his older brother, and Castiel knew there was nothing he could do about it. Once Gabriel was set on something, you couldn't change his mind. He may have acted like a big idiot most of the time, but he was smart in other ways and Castiel knew it.
