It was a hot, sunny day. The sun shone through the leaves of the many trees that dotted the forest, its whispers being carried with the wind.

Somewhere, two figures were walking up a dirt road. They both wore the same garb, a pitch black cloak with red clouds. Weaved headwear rested at their temples as it covered most of the couple's face, creating a bit of a sinister vibe to them.

The man on the right was taller and broader than the other with a large sword strapped to his back, a certain swagger in the way he walked while the other, leaner, man held himself with a polite, confident stance. They both treaded lightly, seemingly cautious yet bored as they travelled through the thick forest.

"... You know, you can talk once in a while, Itachi" the man on the left voiced out, his gruff voice laced with irritation.

"Hn." Itachi grunted simply, shrugging as he continued forward. The silence soon thickened, no sound was heard between the two men—other than the crunch of gravel under their feet—as they continued their journey. Soon enough, the shark-man shouted in frustration.

"I'm getting the feeling you Uchihas need dictionaries. Large vocabulary doesn't seem to exist with you guys!" he whined, throwing his hand up childishly.

Itachi stopped, turning and lifting his head to reveal crimson red eyes. The Mangekyō Sharingan to be precise.

"... Just be quiet, Kisame." he spoke, his deep voice monotone.

"The man speaks! What a glorious day this is..." The man, now known as Kisame, muttered sarcastically; looking away from the raven haired man with a pout.

They continued on with no further interruptions, almost reaching their HQ when they heard a whining sound.

They stopped in their tracks, straining their ears as their eyes darted around. Kisame noted Itachi slowly taking out a kunai from the corner of his eye.

They stood silent, no words being said as they took a defensive position. Everything was quiet, before a small rustle of leaves was heard from their right. Itachi flung his weapon with great precision, hearing a 'clunk' and a bolt of white shooting up from the bushes.

It spun in a spiral before landing on it's... paws? It looked up to them with a menacing glare. Although, to the criminals, it looked adorable.

The small animal was a dog, a white and super fluffy dog with big, beautiful pale brown eyes and a small pink nose. It was gorgeous, but the fur was a little dirty.

Kisame stared at it with stars in his eyes, walking up and squatting down to pick it up. The dog snapped their jaws at him but he paid no mind to it, lifting it up swiftly and started to coo at the pup.

"Oh my Kami! You are so fuckin' flUFFY!!" Kisame squealed, causing Itachi to look at the blue man with a unnoticeable, disappointed gaze.

Kisame then turned to him, his mood doing an entire three-sixty as he said with a serious gaze.

"Itachi... I'm taking the puppy home-"

"No." Itachi immediately shot him down.

"Why not?!" Kisame growled.

"Because it's pointless. We do not need a useless stray in our headquarters, Kisame. You know this, it's not even a Ninken" the raven haired man answered pointedly, quirking a brow on his usually stoic face.

"... That's the most I've ever heard you say- Never mind, but ItaCHIIIII~ look how cute it is!" Kisame then proceeded to quite, literally, shove the poor fluffball into Itachi's face.

The canine stood silent during the whole thing, their gaze emotionless and never changing as it stared at the red-eyed man, no hint of fear in it's eyes or body language.

The two continued their awkward stare down, no one moving a muscle. Until...

The fluffball decided to lick Itachi's nose. That's all he needed to be convinced before he swiped the dog out of the shark-man's grasp.

"OI!" he yelped.

"..." Itachi said nothing as he disappeared in a swirl of crows; leaving nothing behind.

Well, expect one thing.

"ITACHHIIIIIII!!!"
