Another week of suffering was upon the students of Johnson High. Exams became near as it will happen a few days before the Seasonal Dance.

Teaching staff thought it would be a great idea to put stress first, relax later as a tactic in making the students enjoy their dance more.

But it instead backfired, the students were too excited and enthusiastic about the dance that they give little care about their exams.

Of course, an exception from these sloth students is Aryna, she worked hard, day

and night reviewing all her notes and lectures.

Not a single day went by without her opening up her books and go through the lessons once more. She was too obsessed with earning a medal that she only gave a small dosage of sympathy to her health.

Each exam she would take, would add to her anxiety of not failing. All Aryna hopes is that she would get the medal and show it to her father, a gift of thanks for all the hardwork he has committed as a single parent.

She would always be bullied as the oldest in her batch, a 17 year old girl who is with pace with 15 to 16 year olds.

She was a natural late bloomer, but she did not see this as a weakness, she saw it as a challenge to work harder and to prove her superiority in not only age but also wisdom.

Last day of exams came upon the school and the students were almost dry out of intelligence, their minds wrung of any term or information about any subject.

All that was in their heads were the dance, how a grand party it will be, a DJ raving up the dance floor and drinks and food waiting to be filled in the mouths of their guests. Dates and friends to enjoy the night with. What's better is, the teachers would be staying outside, and would only come in to check once in a while.

It was their science test, Aryna was confident about this exam because she always loved Science, especially biology.

She also favored Philosophy, she always wanted to learn about how people think or feel and how she could treat them.

One by one, all the blanks of her test were filled out by answers. She was excited to finish this test, knowing she would pass.

"Alright students, pass your papers forward, silently." Of course this instruction wasn't fully followed, students whispered and gossiped qabout their answers, debating what was right and wrong.

Michael crept up to Aryna, "So

you think you're gonna pass? Wait.. who am I kidding you always pass." Aryna smiled and replied, "It's all in your drive to win, Mike."

Mike chuckled, "Well, due to my low grades I might as well drive
straight into hell."

It was dismissal and all the students rushed outside with glee, knowing that the exams were finished, they could now focus on the dance. Many of the students proposed to each other for dates.

Heartbreak or joy, it all filled up within the day, Aryna was envious, but tried to learn that no one will ever ask her. Aryna waited outside her classroom for her friends, minutes go by and they finally arrived.

Veronica apologized, "Sorry, I helped the council set up the decorations of the dance. Are you guys excited?!" shouting with glee.

Michael replied in a joyous manner, "Of course! But, Aryna, come on you need to have a date. I don't want you to be a third wheel." Veronica nodded, agreeing to Michael.

Aryna chuckled softly, "I'll be fine, don't worry, I won't barge in on your private time." Veronica laughed, "I don't think Michael's up for some private time." Michael started to blush, "Wha- What kind of private time?" the two girls laughed as they saw their friend glow red with embarrassment.
