      I just woke up and have a Skype meeting with my manager in about thirty minutes. Normally he would just facetime me if it was about a brand deal or possible event so I was kind of worried for what he had to say. I'm not expecting anything life changing because my channel isn't at that point yet. I wouldn't say I'm a small youtuber but I'm definitely not well known. I gained most of my following by being on warped tour with my friends in a band called Waterparks. They invited me to tag along for the summer and I vlogged most of it. Now that summer is over my manager probably has something else for me to do.

     I stretched before walking over and sitting in front of my computer, waiting for the call. I saw the reflection of myself on the blank screen and quickly tried to fix my hair. The ringing startled me and I accepted then waited for it to connect. I noticed that there were two people in the call, not just my manager. Before I had time to say hello the conversation was started.

    "I didn't know how to really explain this which is why I needed you both on Skype." My manager, jack, says calmly. At this moment I'm finding it hard to be calm because Tanner Braungardt was also in this video call. I wouldn't say I am a fan but whenever I get asked 'who is your YouTube crush?' my mind goes to him. Tanner and I both look at jack, wanting him to continue. "Since I manage both of you I have access to your analytics and if you compare them your audiences are almost opposite." Jack states. We still don't say anything since we don't know what he's trying to say. "Also, Tanner, your views were way higher when you were with Paris but they also grow when a girl is involved in the videos. Carter, since most of your followers are new and maybe just subscribed because Awsten was is your vlogs you are going to need something to keep them coming back." Jack explained. I was starting to understand what he had planned and I don't think I'm interested. The people I vlogged with on tour were actually my friends and we had a connection off camera as well. I don't want to have to fake something just for some growth.

   "So you want us to vlog together?" Tanner finally speaks up. "Well,yeah. You guys will have to act like you have a relationship, you don't have to openly say you do if your not comfortable with that. I'll be sending you an email with the contract that includes all of the requirements and rules soon." Jack answered. It seems like he wasn't asking us to do this because he already had everything ready to go. Even though I would love to be able to get close to Tanner this isn't the way I would want it to happen. "How will we do all that when we don't even live in the same state?" I question, trying to find a way to get out of it. "That's already covered," Jack laughed, "Tanner has a meeting tomorrow afternoon and after that I booked a flight for him to go to Ohio."

   "Isn't that a little last minute?" Tanner interrupted. "Now is what works best with both of your schedules." Jack replied confidently. "Why is he coming here though? There's not much to do for content." I asked. "That's good, the videos will be focused on you guys, and it's only for a week. After the week you will fly back with Tanner and stay there for a week. It could take anywhere from one to twenty videos for the audiences to mix so the more content together the better." Jack explained. Tanner and I both nodded even though it seemed like both of us disliked this idea.  "Alright, I emailed both of you the contracts so make sure to read over them before you meet tomorrow. Your guys' phone numbers are also in the email so you can talk before meeting." Jack said with a smile before ending the call. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. How did I let that just happen?
