Prologue

"See ya mom!" I yelled as I raced out the front door to school. I hopped in my black Mercedes and drove to school. Jackwood High was

probably one of the biggest schools in Pheonix. It had an indoor pool and skating rink and over 500 classrooms.

As I pulled into the parking lot, my best friend Lina approached the vehicle.

"Hey what's up?"

"Nothing much. Nice outfit", I said sarcastically. I loved Lina but when it came to what she wore, she chose clothes that revealed more

than I needed to see. But the guys of course never minded it, Lina was one of the prettiest girls at our school with long brown wavy hair,

that looked perfect without her even trying and deep green eyes. Today she was wearing short shorts that could be mistaken for

underwear and a skin tight crop top with a V neck. To be honest, I was sometimes a little jealous because of her looks and great body,

but she's my best friend and I can't let anything get in between that.

"Hello ladies!" The voice startled me. I turned around to see Niall. Ugh! He was the most cocky annoying boy in this whole school and

had to flirt with all the girls. However, he was dating Lina so I had to hide my hatred for him.

He kissed Lina and they were making out for what seemed like hours! Then there was me just awkwardly standing there like a loser.

"Um, Lina. Shouldn't we be getting to class?" We had three out of four classes together, 1st 2nd and 4th period.

"Ya" she said, as she untangled her tongue from Niall's I'm surprised they can hold all that breath for so long.

"See ya next period babe" Unfortunately I had 2nd and 3rd period with Niall, so it's kinda hard to avoid him.

"Love ya!" Lina replied, as we walked away.

"Why are you dating him anyways? He flirts with every girl in the school, how can you trust him?"

"Look Brooklyn, I know you hate him but we love each other and I trust him. And don't mention this subject again, you may have

bossed me around when we were little but now I'm almost 18 and I don't need you playing the mom card anymore by telling who is or

isn't right for me by your opinion get it?!?!"

"Ya I'm sorry"

We stepped into the math class and took our seats as our teacher took attendance. I just wanted to help Lina, because Niall didn't seem

Like he was the right one, but Lina is my best friend and I'll support her with whatever decisions she makes.

As we walked out to go to our second period, I stopped off at my locker to get my books, but as I opened it, a piece of paper fell out, I

opened it and it said in pretty messy handwriting,

Meet me in the back room behind the gym after school

Who the hell is Z? But I decided it was just some stupid prank and crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage.

Two seconds later I got a text, while I was walking to my class I pulled out my iPhone 5s and opened up the message. It said,

Wow I give you a note and you just throw it out.

I quickly spun around but the hall was empty, I realized maybe I should've gone just in case, but who knew this little decision would've

changed my life.
