44~ finally Over

This can't be happening! Not again!

I watched as the battle finished before my eyes and the last of the monsters vanished into thin air. The only person left in the enemy side was Voldermort. He raised a gnarly, ruined hand holding a wand and pointed it at Percy.

He whispered two words that rang out loud and clear in the still tense air.

"Avada Kadavra."

The two words that had cost the lives of my parents, family and friends.

Now, about to claim another.

Green light shot from the end of his wand and hit Percy.

It felt as if I was watching a horror movie in slow motion. Percy fell to the ground and lay there motionless. Voldermort erupted into a crackle of evil laughter. But he was cut short. He gasped and his eyes rolled back in his head as he fell to the ground with a thud where he dissolved into a black liquid like Kronos had.

"Percy!" Annabeth screamed and rushed to his side.

She fumbled with her locket and I clasped it from her neck but The dark haired girl that radiated love and beauty, and whom Percy had brought with him walked to Annabeth and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "It only works once, Annabeth." She whispered. "That's how the fates allowed it to be."

"No." Annabeth whispered before heartbroken sobs racked her body. She held Percy tightly and sobbed into his face. Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Calypso, Rachel, Nico, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, the friends Percy brought with him, Chiron, Thalia, Clarisse, Chris, Grover and practically everyone silently stood around Percy and Annabeth.

It was silent except for Annabeth's sobs and all of our silent crying.

Then three words broke the depressing atmosphere.

"Annabeth, don't cry."

It was Percy.

He sat up in her arms and wiped her tears away.

"Wise Girl, I did promise that I'll never leave you again." He said as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug.

"Percy, you have to stop giving us heart attacks, man!" Leo said, grinning.

"Leo!" Piper chided. "You ruined the moment!"

"Percy! My baby!" Sally screamed as she rushed towards him and engulfed Percy in a hug.

"Mom." Percy whispered. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I worried you like this and-"

"Oh, sweetie!" Sally cut in. "You always do find a way to come back." She finally let go and Percy turned to Paul who hugged just as much as Sally had.

While all this was happening, the friends Percy had brought back from the dead stood to the side smiling at the sweet scene unfolding In front of them.

That is, till Thalia came storming up and stopped right in front of the guy with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The guy gasped. "Thalia!" He stammered. "Look- I'm sorry, okay. I regret what I did and I-"

She interrupted him by slapping him. "That, was for betraying us and going over to Kronos and breaking your promise, Luke."

Luke opened his mouth to speak but Thalia cut him off by giving him a sisterly hug. "And that, was for coming back."

"Is it my turn to slap him now?" Annabeth asked walking towards them with a smile.

Everyone hugged each other and welcomed them back. They introduced themselves as Silena, Bekandorf, Luke, Zoe, Michael, Castor, Ethan and Lee. (A/N thnx for informing me that I missed out on Lee Fletcher. ^_^ Is that how u spell it?)

Leo and Bekandorf talked about who knows what. Though, I caught the words 'bunker nine', 'festus' and 'the Argo II'

Piper and Selena were talking and laughing. Clarrise had then interrupted them by crushing Silena in a hug.

Zoe and Thalia were cracking up at something one of them had said.

Castor and another guy who looked like he was his brother were catching up on things.

Luke and Annabeth were chatting. Michael and another guy named Will were talking.

Basically, it was a perfect day.

Not long after the gods flashed in and explained.

They told us that the reason Percy didn't die was because it had rebounded upon impact and hit Voldermort instead. How it rebounded was the same way it happened to me, ages ago. Voldermot's seventh Hocrux wasn't me alone. Only half of that Hocrux was in me. The other half somehow got into Percy. That was how Voldermort came back and that was how he was destroyed.

The gods announced that they were going to grant everyone one wish apart from immortality which was only offered to both Percy and Annabeth who refused without a moments hesitance, surprising everyone including the gods. They said that it wasn't fair that only they were to be rewarded like that when everyone else sacrificed just as much.

"Well, what do you want then?" Zeus asked the pair.

"We want a peaceful life for a change." Percy said. "I want to live my life in peace without anymore wars. I want my happily ever after." Percy concluded.

Zeus sighed. "If that is your wish, you may have it. And I presume that you would want the same things, Annabeth?"

Annabeth nodded in agreement.

Everyone got their wishes although some of them wished for the randomness things. Like, Leo wished for a coffee machine that never runs out and Ron wished for a anti spider bug spray that never finishes. Hermione wished for a giant book about the future.

My first wish was to bring my parents, Sirius, Lupin and all my friends back but the gods said that they couldn't grant me this wish because it was up to the fates.

Then the gods flashed out except Aphrodite. She walked over to Silena, Bekandorf, Michael, Luke, Ethan, Castor and Lee and said, "I'm sorry, children but you'll have to go back to Elysium. As much as I'd love to have you here, the fates won't allow it."

So they said their final goodbyes and left, their smiles never fading away.
