The road was empty today. No sign of any living creature around except, two crickets hopping on the grass, chirping like they were gossiping about the neighbors around Rain Valley. The street was a bit damp and wet from raining last night. Thunder was still rumbling. It sounded a bit further than before.

Rainbow Valley was not a famous district at all. No one wanted to live there except some old couples who were looking for some peace and quite, or some desperate people who were tired of living a city life with pollution and traffic jams. However the Matsumoto family was different. They were what people said the most unique family had ever been discovered. Mr. Matsumoto is a dentist. He was actually a city man. He was born in Tokyo, where people were already get used to crowds and jams and pollution. He is sturdy. Unlike any middle aged man, he was quite muscular for a fifty year old man. his hair was as straight and stiff as a brush. He seldom combed it. nevertheless, it didn't bother him at all. He liked his hair as the way it is. He worked at Rain Valley Central Hospital. He was not an ordinary dentist. He dealt with crooked and ugly kind of teeth everyday. he had got so any patients that were mostly kids around five until seven, or some adults who had not get any chance to fix their crooked untidy teeth as a child.

His wife is Mrs. Matsumoto, a lady of fifty years old. Tall, fair and beautiful. Her skin was as white as a marble stone, she has got neat thick eyebrows she always takes care of every once a week in a salon. Her slim figure has always been treated well also at a gym four blocks away from a supermarket she works in. Yes, she is a cashier who has a thought that appearance in number one. She is quite famous for costumers always look forward to be served by her at the cashier counter.

"Two hundred and fifty please..." her voice was firm yet soft.

a girl lazily takes out some money from her pocket. it was a three hundred bill. She lazily grabs her plastic bag and pulls it down to the floor.

"Thank you," said Mrs. Matsumoto smiling. She mostly ignored how costumers act in front of her. For her, all costumers are just passing people. She is just simply trying to be nice to everybody. Her smiles never fade as she served all the costumers come to her equally.

"Ohno san... How's your day?" She greeted one of her regular customer. He's a boy around her son's age, perhaps older.

"fine..." Answers Ohno flat.

Mrs. Matsumoto smiled. She knew Ohno is a boy who seldom gives his smile. At once she thought that he's probably not a happy boy, but then when she found out that Ohno is actually a young master who lives in a mansion above the hill then she finally understood.

"This boy perhaps is too spoiled by his parents.

Ohno still pouted his lips. He put down everything inside his basket to the counter's table. There were two batteries, five cans of soda, three sticks of chocolate mint bars, two bags of Harumi Potato chips, two cans of orange juice, a bottle of yogurt that seemed for himself and two bags of chocolate rice candies.

"wow, these are a lot. are you going to have a party, Ohno san dear..?" Asked Mrs. Matsumoto.

Ohno didn't answers. He just glared at her. With a pouted lips he finally asks,

"How much are all?" in a short but firm sentence.

"one thousand and five yen." Said Mrs. Matsumoto.

Ohno took out some money from his pocket, then paid all the things he bought.

"thank you..." said Mrs. Matsumoto. She smiles.

Ohno hurriedly picked the plastic bag of his groceries and walked away thudding in a hurry.
