"Daryaaaaaaaaaa!" My best friend whines through the phone. I notice she sounds vulnerable, and, well...shit-faced drunk. Which is obviously the only reason I decide I should go to the party, just to make sure she stays safe.

I sigh and shake my head as I grab my keys. "Fine. But just for tonight, okay?" I tell her. She lets out a dragged out gasp then bursts into a fit of excited laughter, which makes me smile. She's ridiculously giddy when she drinks too much...

When I get to the party, it's a mess, to say the least. Loud music, jocks and gorgeous girls, alcohol... The typical type of party you'd see in a teen movie. There was even a pool in the back, which is where most people lurked. Including Lilly, my best friend, who was leaned against a guy that seemingly didn't even want to be here. I approach the two with a chuckle and a shake of my head. "Lilly, I'm here!" I say on my way over, then greet the guy with "Hey, Morgan."

"Hi Darya..." He responds tiredly. He lightly slides Lilly off of his shoulder, and she wakes up groggy and confused. She looks up at me in a drunken daze before her face lights up. "Can we go now that she's here?" Morgan asks Lilly, exhausted and irritated.

Lilly looks shocked and upset. "No waaaaay! She just got heeere we gotta go play truth or dare with Savannah, Derek, Allie and Marcus!" She exclaims, receiving a heavy sigh from Morgan. Her face softens and she pouts, looking at him with a sad, pleading look. "Please?"

He just stares at her. I feel awkward just standing here, so I speak up too. "It'll be fun, Morgan." I say with a smile. I'm not really interested in playing truth or dare either, but if Lilly wants to do it... What could go wrong?

Morgan now stares at me. "Have you guys forgotten that my ex is here?" He asks with poison on his tongue. I didn't forget. I didn't even know who was at this party. Hell, I didn't even know Morgan was here! Had I known that I wouldn't have worried and felt the need to come. Which is probably why Lilly didn't mention him. "Truth or dare with my ex involved? What could possibly go wrong?" He asks sarcastically.

Lilly nods slowly. "Right... Aiden..." She looks disappointed. "But... We're all supposed to be having fun." She murmurs. I can already tell Morgan is giving in to her act. He always does, and he knows she's acting, too! Lilly may be a snake, but she's not a bad one.

Morgan rolls his eyes and stands up in a rush, quickly followed by Lilly, who has a hopeful look in her eyes. He looks at her then at me, and lets out a long sigh. "Let's go, girls."

Lilly squeals and grabs each of our arms to keep herself from tumbling into the pool. "It's gonna be great!"

We make our way to the group of people playing with a glass bottle. From the outside it just seems like a game of spin the bottle, but nah, it's just a weird way of playing truth or dare, thankfully. I wouldn't kiss anyone here.

Well... Okay, that's a lie.

I've had a huge gay crush on Savannah Crawford since 8th grade. And there she sits among them, long red hair and big blue eyes, dark, edgy clothes complimenting her pale complexion. Her hair is disheveled and her top is sinking down, revealing the rise and fall of her chest as she laughs at something Derek says.

Maybe if we weren't ex-friends I would tell her how I felt.

We were amazing together; joined at the hip. Sophomore year, when rumors spread that I had slept with her boyfriend, she cut off all contact with me. She never even gave me the chance to tell her that I didn't and never would, because, well... That should be obvious. If not, it's because I'm a flaming homosexual.

The group looks up to us when Lilly slurs a greeting and plops down beside Marcus. I sit beside Lilly, across from Savannah, and Morgan sits as far away from Aiden as possible, who's trying to give him a smile and a wave. He gives up after a few failed attempts at gaining Morgan's attention and instead leans a head on Allie's shoulder for comfort.
