Red Stained Prick

A beautiful day...
Roses blooming, green grass, the fresh scent in the breeze. A young boy ran out of the doors, looking about the garden in a white shirt and wine colored shorts. His shoes tapped on the concrete to a beautiful mansion as he skipped near one of the rose bushes, sniffing one and smiling ever so sweetly. A woman calling out from a short distance as he was near grabbing one of the scarlett flowers...

"Esau, honey, don't touch the roses! They have thorns!"
"Owch!!" The boy said sharply, pulling his hand away from the stems swiftly, "Sorry mum! I know that now, I guess..." he says while he's looking down at his bleeding thumb with crimson red eyes.
"Oh dear..!" Mother says, "Let me fix you up." Pulling out a bandaid from the sleeve of her Victorian dress, running over to Esau in a hurry, pulling him up and taking him inside, walking to the washroom for wound cleaner.
Esau sat in a chair. His ruffled reddish brown hair covering his left eye, staring down at his red drenched thumb with the other. Mum walking back into the room with wound cleaner and a wash rag.
She pulled his hand towards her, breaking the eye contact with his thumb, inspecting it. "Are you okay, dear?" Speaking as she sprayed the wound cleaner on the boy's thumb, making him wince.
Esau nodded, "Yes, mummy..." moving his hair away from his left eye, wiping off a tear at the same time as his mother cleaned the prick on his finger.
"There... All better." Says mom, kissing the wound wrapped with a bandaid. Esau smiled just the slightest.
"Thank you, mummy." He says while he gets up from his chair slowly, brushing his messy hair out of his eyes once more, hearing his father call out "2 hours till dinner, dear family!" "Yes, daddy!" Yelled out his younger sister, Raisa.
Esau walked into his own room, pulling out colored pencils, paper, and some coloring books. Opening a coloring book up, he spent his time doodling and coloring in the blank whites of the art books.
