Crescent smile

Crescent moon in mid-day!
Is forming across your lips,
That knowledge and humor rolling away ,
But trapped between two tips-
Trapped between your lips
-Could it really have nowhere to go?
You always expel just a subtle light
For those in darkness in mid-day
Is light crushed or lost or never left,
Why hasn't larger than life begun?
Why can't you bring more than a smile?
To lease a little light,
I swear there are little moons on our fingers -
So, should a little light choose to put up a little fight,
And make a little light linger.
Do you sit in the dark watching dreams go awry?
Does even pain make you want to cry?
Observing patterns that never change,
Carefully rotating around the room
So you really believe that you are the moon.
You idiot! Don't be so strange.
You are not the one to watch our dreams
The one part awake, the rest asleep
The moon isn't allowed to go away
The moon can be in night all day,
And never wake up.
Do you want that?
Oh a full moon comes every once and a while
And I do enjoy your crescent smile
But a little moon wont light to the whole situation
Why don't you apply your higher education?
