Harry's POV.
It had been a week since I'd last seen Olivia. I'd been working as many shifts as I could over the Easter holidays, trying to save up as much as possible for my year abroad, and she was busy with family celebrations and endless amounts of college work.
I'd had this trip planned for the past 2 years, which is why I hadn't applied for university, or any such other equivalent. I needed to see the world; experience what was out there. Olivia and I had often talked about her coming with me, and as much as I liked to believe it would happen, I knew her heart was set on the fashion internship she'd been offered in Paris. I guess neither of us wanted to bring it up, neither of us could face setting an end date for what had been an incredible few months of love, and many years of friendship.
Tonight was Louis' birthday meal; the night that Liv and I had both set aside as a priority. Not only would it be a night of celebration, but it would be a night that we could actually spend some time together; something I'd missed desperately. It was the little things like her melodic giggle and sweet, coconut scent that I really missed... The little things that I'd never noticed during our years of friendship, but that made me desire her so much more.
I spritzed myself with aftershave, before pulling a navy blazer over my white dress shirt. I looked smart, but not over the top. My hair was swept to its usual parting; curls flailing in every direction possible. My smart shoes balanced out the casual black jeans I'd thrown on; shirt tucked in neatly beneath the waistband. I slipped my phone, keys and wallet into my jeans pocket, before stepping into the cool, evening Spring air and setting off for town.
After 20 minutes or so with my mindless thoughts, I arrived along the high street. It was quiet; a complete contrast to the bustling city-life that often occupied the streets by day. In fact, it looked quite beautiful. Street lamps lit the path for as far into the distance as I could see; roads completely barren of cars and bikes; a soft, orange hue lining the city skyline. It was times like these when I really wondered what else was out there, and how much I was yet to experience.
"Hey you" a soft voice spoke into my ear from behind; her coconut scent immediately filling my lungs.
I smirked, before turning round.
"Wow" I said, almost in complete awe as I eyed her up and down.
She was clad in a white, silk shirt and black skirt, framed with a cropped leather jacket. Her hair was in loose waves, accompanied by a thin, flower-laden headband that crowned her head. Her eyes glistened beneath the street lamp as she grinned up at me; full lips tainted with a sheer, red lipstick that begged to be kissed. I bowed my head to hers, noses grazing as our lips brushed; hot, familiar breaths meeting each other for what felt like the first time. My stomach fluttered as our lips connected fully; fingers entwining.
"God I missed this. You" she mumbled against my lips, before pulling away.
"Whoops..." She giggled, quickly rubbing her thumb across my lower lip.
"It's fine" I grinned, wiping the back of my hand across my mouth to make sure any visible red marks had vanished.
I linked my fingers with hers as we walked the remaining few hundred yards to our destination; the faint aroma of the restaurant travelling along the night air.
"There you guys are!" Louis exclaimed from across the room, standing from his chair and waving erratically to make sure that we saw him, as well as heard him.
I nodded my head in acknowledgement, weaving through the masses of tables and chairs to get to the other side of the room.
"Sorry, my fault" Liv apologised as we quickly took our seats.
