I take a sip of my tea,
continuing to stare at
my computer screen.
The essay is taunting me.
I attempt to write something,
but immediately erase
the sentence's existence.
I sigh, taking a look at
the assignment. The words
start to blur, and I roll my eyes.
Procrastination fights for
my attention, but I battle for
redemption.
I am going to finish this.
I am destined to defeat
my distractions, no matter
how nice they may seem.
I trudge tiresomely on,
determined to get a good mark.
Hours pass, and I've lost some
motivation, but I've finally done it.
I've finished my essay...
now onto the next one.
