LUCY'S POV:
I felt a jab in my side, waking me from my dreamless sleep. I ignored it until I felt it again and heard,
"Stop you stupid flame-brain, you'll wake her up," Someone hissed and I felt another jab as someone said,
"No, she's not, see?" I shuffled and let out a sleepy groan as I reached up to rub my face. "Oops, sorry Luce..." Recognizing the voices, I opened my eyes to see Natsu and Gray beside my bed.
"What the? What are you two doing in my room?!" I yelled in anger and surprise, embarrassed to have the two right there while I'm sleeping, "Are you two just watching me sleep? Without clothes?!" I glared at Gray who wasn't wearing anything but his boxers. The boys recovered from my outburst, giving me sheepish looks, eventually saying,
"We were waiting for you to wake up. And we're in the infirmary, not your room..." I felt myself look around in confusion and realized they were right.
"Why am I here?" I asked in concern, pulling the blankets up farther to my chin. Gray gestured to underneath it saying,
"For the stab wound in your side," I pulled away from the blanket and noticed a bandage around my stomach. Oh shit, that's right... After the job with Sting, we were walking through the forest to Magnolia, and... I don't remember what happened after that. Did I get stabbed?
"But, when? How long have I been asleep?" I asked with concern, hoping it hadn't been like a week or something, but I found myself relieved as Natsu said,
"Since yesterday," But found that disappearing when he continued, "After that stupid Saber Dragon Slayer brought you here..." Natsu said angrily and I felt myself shrink farther into the bed. I can't say I was surprised Sting had saved me, but I felt bad that I had to be saved in the first place. Sting's right, I do have a lot of training left to do...
"Yeah, what happened? Did Sting actually save you...?" I felt myself become slightly offended by Gray question, because why else would Sting bring me here if he was the one who stabbed me? I glared at them both, feeling myself become irritated.
"Well, I'm assuming he did since he's the one who brought me here after I was stabbed!" I yelled, getting up from the bed and walking out. They just sat in shock and I took a deep breath after going out into the hall. Ugh, what am I doing!? I just need to calm down...
I walked slowly down the stairs, taking my time as I was still sore from the stab wound. As I sat down at the bar, I heard Mira gasp excitedly as she rushed over to me.
"Lucy, you're awake!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands together, "I was so worried!" She leaned over the bar and wrapped her arms around me, to which I returned gratefully.
"Could I please get a smoothie, Mira?" I asked, and after feeling my stomach rumble in hunger I continued, "And a piece of pie?" Mira nodded as she took my order, then turned around to fill it. I found my thoughts wandering to Sting as I waited for my breakfast. I wonder where he went after bringing me here? He probably went back to Sabertooth... Well, actually, he might've stayed to split the money with me for the job we went on. If he did, he's probably at my apartment, I realized with a sweatdrop. My thoughts on what Sting might do to my apartment were cut off early by Mira walking over and setting down my smoothie and pie. I started to eat as Mira leaned on the counter in front of me to talk.
"So, are you going to tell me what happened?" She asks excitedly, and then in a hushed tone as if telling me a secret, she says, "I mean, after Sting carried you in here like that, there must be something between you two, no?" I felt myself choke on the food I was trying to swallow, my eyes widening from the accusation. I coughed and cleared my windpipe before giving her a confused, bewildered look.
