every enchanted forest needs an enchanted princess (...)

it was another sunny day in the enchanted forest.

the only sound heard being millie, who was seated in a patch of untamed grass with various types of flowers, reciting poetry to the flower-scented air while making her own flower crown.

"Two households, both alike in dignity. In fair Verona, where we lay our scene. From ancient grudge break to new mutiny..."

she paused and gently plucked a beautiful yellow daffodil from the side, looking at it with adoration before speaking once more.

"Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean."

she took another long glance at it, trying to come up with a name for its lovely being.

she gasped after finally coming up with a name, eyes wide with joy and satisfaction before yelling,

"how could i be so oblivious! you are most definitely a juliet!" she shockingly yelled at the daffodil. delicately twisting the stem onto various other flowers that were already connected to each other by the stem.

"why didn't i realize any sooner! i could've saved poor juliet from the humility." the now disappointed girl muttered while adding another flower to her lovely crown.

now a jasmine flower being named elizabeth.

millie continued with reciting poetry, continuing from where she last left off.

"From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed lov-" millie shot her head up after hearing a familiar deep voice from afar calling for her, grabbing her now finished flower crown before shooting up onto her feet.

"millie!"

she brushed off her skirt before shouting back at the voice a clear "coming!" now speeding off onto the extremely familiar path that would lead her home, flower crown held tightly onto the top of her head.

the run home was magnificent, the crown on her head made her feel special and like a princess almost. with each and every tree she ran by greeting her in their own way instead of bowing as a human would properly do.

her short wavy hair blew behind her ears and shoulders, leaving her collarbone bare and flower crown independent as she ran.

millie finally came to a stop after seeing the familiar yet remote farm. walking over to the tiny house beside it who's door was wide open, where her father stood to await for her arrival.

"hello father, i just had the most magnificent time in the enchanted forest," she announced while welcoming her dearest father into a tight embrace.

"i made a lovely flower crown while trying to remember that line from 'Romeo and Juliet' you love so dearly." she enthusiastically stated before pointing to the flower crown that still remained unbothered on the top of her now unkempt hair.

"what a pretty flower crown, do you recall which flowers you used?" millie's father tested, bringing her inside to their cozy, shell-colored home.

"only the most extravagant of them all! daffodils and lilies and such." millie answered before following her father to the kitchen where her mother would be.

she sighed dreamily, "you should've seen how the trees reacted to my crown. they looked as if they had seen a princess!" she recalled, looking over at her mother who was cleaning the dining table but also eases dropping in on the conversation.

"maybe you are that princess honey. after all, every enchanted forest needs an enchanted princess." millie's mother interrupted, walking over to give the girl a welcoming kiss on the forehead.

"and now that you're back, your father and i could really use some help from you with preparing for that war." millie's mother stated, now helping her husband with storing up food. millie sighs knowing her adventure in the enchanted forest today is over.

"is this war really necessary?" millie blurts out causing her parents to eye her slightly from the sudden question. it's been a struggle to explain the good signs to their young child. their daughter was filled with much joy and bliss that there was no room for a vicious war to come around.

"sweetheart, do you love this country?" millie's father asked as he places his hands on her shoulder. she laughs at such a question.

"of course i do."

"then let this war happen so our country could be stronger." millie shook her head in an instant, not agreeing with a single word he said.

"this world has no room for a war." millie stated firmly with a strong stomp on the ground causing her delicate flower crown to slightly slip off her head. her father laughs at her tough act. that's what he admired about her the most. she's not afraid to put up a fight if she needed to.

"all we can really do is save ourselves from the war so continue packing the storage." millie's father stated as he kissed the top of her head and watched her run off to their farm where all of their important storage was at.

she sighed as the idea of small-minded leaders started this war popped into her head as she entered the little farm spotting several animals inside. she named each and every animal in this room. all of them were like family to her. she would cry everytime she found out her father killed one of the chickens for dinner. over time she accepted the fact that not all animals can live forever.

earlier today she was storing packed food in the corner of the farm which her whole family is planning on bringing to their travels to the other side of the country which is where no war will ever be close to happening. she began to hum a melody that seemed to flow through her. she noticed that she works much faster with music in her ears. those were the little things that she'll really miss about this place,

just simply humming a beautiful melody to the animals beside her.
