so eager to feel the fresh breeze (...)

The morning sunlight shined through the young girl's bedroom window. She smiled with such delight from being greeted by such joy filling the air. The morning mist seamed to simmer through the morning air. This was her favorite moment of the day, being kindly greeted by the dazzling sunshine above her.

She rushed through getting ready for the morning, so eager to feel the fresh breeze brushing against her gentle golden skin. Her soft footsteps were pattering against the wooden stairs. She peaked out her hazel eyes in the corner of the room in hopes of spotting her parents.

A leap of excitement rushed through her insides. She'll be able to run back to her enchanted forest without being spotted by her mother. She stepped carefully on every step she made on the squeaky floor. She reached the front door with her hand gripping the door handle.

"Where do you think you're going miss?" Millie's heart skipped a beat from the sound of her mother's voice luring close by. Millie sent her mother nervous laugh.

"Morning mother!" Millie began straightening the overused dress she was currently wearing. She could feel her mother's fathering eyes digging deep into her skin. Millie tried fiddling with any object sitting by her in order to avoid her mother's gaze.

"Don't think you can go back to that forest today, we've got a busy day today. You should be glad that your father didn't find you sneaking out." Her mother shook her head with disappointment.

"Now that you're heading outside, I'll need you to run a few errands." Millie's nervous expression quickly turned into a glaring stare for her mother.

Her mother grabbed an empty basket and handed it to the young girl in front of her with a list of things that are needed to buy. "I need you to head to town and buy a few things. Don't stay there too long and come home by lunch time. Don't forget to eat some breakfast there."

Millie stood silently as she watched her mother toss in a bag or coins inside the basket. The girl sighs as she began stuffing her feet inside her worn out shoes. She noticed her mother staring at her like a proud mother. She smiled faintly as she began heading outside of her home.

The wave of fresh air that she's been wanting all day had finally greeted her. The warm breeze that were brushing against the blooming leaves rang through her ears. Birds were chirping close by as they flutter their wings. Millie spun with such delight as more sweet melodies that somehow mother nature created herself was passing by her.

She continued skipping through the usual path that would lead to town. After an hour of skipping through the woods she finally made it to town. She was oddly disappointed in no longer standing inside the beautiful woods but is now in front of a busy town filled with people, but not a single human near her was like her. Everyone out here was filled with hate and bitterness. They all felt toxic to her.
