CHAPTER FOUR

After filling up their stomach with Seulgi's mom's homemade food, the two decided to hang out in the veranda.

Her friend's house is situated at a great place. From where they were sitting, she could see the vast ocean and the lights reflected to it, so much different from the tall skyscrapers she often sees from the balcony of her house.

This is what I need, a change of scenery.

"Do you have any idea on what to write?" Seulgi asked her after sipping her tea.

"Already?" Yeri chuckled. "I just arrived, there's no way the ideas will come this early."

But she hoped they do. She's tired of beating herself up almost everyday, squeezing her mind for some decent ideas and plots for her stories and articles.

"How are you? Are you feeling okay now?"

"Yeah. Kind of, I guess." Yeri knew what her friend wanted to talk about but she could feel Seulgi's hesitation.

"Why did I even ask when it's already so apparent that you're not."

"Yeah, you're really dumb. I don't know how we became friends. We are too far from being similar."

"I agree. I'm way cooler and sexier than you!"

The two of them laughed, two pairs of eyes turning into thin slits, two mouths forming a gorgeous arc.

Seulgi cleared her throat after coming down from their high, "but in all seriousness, Yerm, are you coping up well?"

"If I was really coping up well, I wouldn't be here, right?" Yeri sipped her tea from the violet mug. Seulgi insisted that she use that mug since it's her favorite color. Childish but she was touched that even the slightest thing about her, she remembered.

"I know, I just hope I could more to help you than just sit here and listen."

"What do you mean? This is much more than what I'm asking for. Just having someone here beside me is a big help already. Not mention it's my best friend." She looked at her friend in the eyes and smiled, a smile that holds all the affection she has for the person. I'm really lucky, she thought.

"Aye," Seulgi waved her hand. "Don't be like that! You make me blush!"

Yeri's laugh rang once again in the quiet place.

"I like it here, you know. Your parents still treat me as good, you're here, and your place has a lot of cute guys."

Seulgi squinted at her, her small eyes almost disappearing.

"You just arrived but you already saw cute guys? And no, there are only like two or three cuties here, that's not a lot."

"Uh-huh. I feel like I already saw one of those three." Yeri giggled, and she was almost disgusted with her tone. I'm not here to flirt, what the heck.

"Really? Wow. You're really something Kim Yerim! I respect your hunting skills, yeah?"

"You know that guy in the coffee shop?"

"What coffee shop?"

"Oh, so you have more than one coffee shop here, then?"

"Of course, this place is more civilized than you think! Duh. Anyway, what cafe are we talking about here?"

"The first one you see when you come from the bus station. I forgot it's name. It's something like Gold?"

"Oh!" Seulgi's once squinted eyes were now wide. Well, not really wide since she has such small eyes. Using her right fore finger, she pointed at Yeri. "Golden Kopi!"

"Yeah! I think that's what it's called."

"Oh my gosh! You already met Jeon Jungkook?"

Yeri couldn't get why her friend was reacting too excitedly.

"Uh, yeah?"

"Yeri! Did you know he's the most popular guy here?"

"Well duh, obviously I don't. I don't live here."

"But you know now! Oh my gosh!"

"Hey, aren't you reacting too much? It's not like I said I like him or something. I just said he's cute."

"Oh, Yerim. Don't you think it's love you need to finally free yourself from you past?"

Yeri laughed. "Don't be too much! I did not even talk to the guy that much. He just asked me what I wanted yet you're already talking about love?"

"You know, I always believe in destiny and fate. He was the one you first encountered here, right?"

Yeri nodded and sipped her tea again. Seems like Seulgi forgot about her tea already, she was too focused on this Yeri and the cute guy thing.

"Do you think there's something behind your meeting?"

"Like what? Something like I'll probably apply as a barista at the coffee shop he's working at?"

"Omg! Are you planning to?" Seulgi was totally excited now, more excited than she was earlier.

"You're crazy. I'm not here to flirt, I'm here to find inspiration."

"Then you already found it, girl! All we need to do now is plan the next move."

She shot her friend an incredulous look and just shook her head. This was exactly one of the very few things she disliked about her best friend. Whenever it's about her love life, Seulgi gets more excited that her.

She took a last sip of her now cold tea, so Jeon Jungkook is his name.
