"Waiter!" Namjoon calls. He is about to leave as he has already satisfied his cravings. "I'm ready to give the bill."
The waiter nods his head and receives both the cash and tip. How grateful the waiter is considering Joon gave a generous amount for the tip.
Then there goes the kind-hearted boy exiting the cafe around dusk.
"Have a blessed day, sir." Whispers the waiter, not knowing the man he bade quietly really wishes for someone to save him from his lonesome state.
Namjoon got no hopes for such though. How could he hope for something when he hallucinates whenever he visits the forest. Maybe he hallucinates, maybe he doesn't. A few people caught him resting there in quite random moments thinking he is one of the crazy people who talks to himself (just so that he won't get scared by the black surrounding).
But he isn't, he isn't scared nor does he talk to himself. What could even go wrong for him to fear such time?"Ah!," Exclaims one young man sitting by a table. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for shocking you mom, but I got to go."
What a young, but panicking child who almost spilt some hot cocoa over his mom.
"Tae, where are you going?" The mom of the rushing young lad asked. "I, uh, forgot to tell you. Hoseok told me to meet him outside. He has a parcel brought from abroad."
"Ahh, that pen pal of yours perhaps."
"Yes, and the best one ever yet. Now if you excuse me mom. I got to go."
Then there goes Taehyung or in short 'Tae'. He quite got the hype knowing he will meet his first ever pen pal friend from Korea.
Stepping out of the cafe he breathed in the fresh wood-scented air. Tae's eyes wanders as he explore his own surroundings. Perhaps he is looking for a red hair boy, and that boy might as well own a smile brighter than a sun.
"Tae-Tae!!" Taehyung was suddenly caught off guard. Other than that, he didn't expected to be engulfed in a huge huge hug.
"H-Hoseok? Urgh, let go first!" Hoseok hearing Tae's plead, finally acknowledged how tight his arms embraced Taehyung.
"Oops, sorry bro. I guess I was excited to meet ya again!" Hoseok exclaimed.
"Meet too you know," Tae winked. "But I'm more excited to receive my gift."
"Wow okay, flirt all the way you like. Though always remember, my existence itself is a gift." Hoseok scoffs.
After the red hair complimented himself, he has then decided to lead Taehyung towards his pick-up. Hoseok opened the door and pulled out a large box. It was Taehyung's awaited gift wrapped in a pale yellow fabric.
Hoseok made sure that the gifts looks decent enough without any dents. The gift inside was picked with care especially the gift wrapper itself. Taehyung was no ordinary friend to Hoseok. Tae was the 'Hello, I was born here on earth to bring a smile to your heart!' type of person. A close friend like him would make Hoseok feel bad if he was ever to give a frugal gift.
"Hm, yeah. You can open it now if you'd like," Hoseok offered "Bet you waited for days until I arrived haha."
It was true that Taehyung was waiting for both Hoseok and the literal gift. Though even if he was very giddy inside, he decided to settle a little longer.
"You're still going to my house, right? I can wait til' you receive your own gift and we can open it up together."
"Wait, I have a gift too? Woaah!" The thrill in Hoseok's eyes were visible. He was never told that he has a gift too until today "I'm actually already wondering what's inside!!"
This gives Taehyung the mood to chuckle as he is enlightened about how his friend responded. 'How cute' Taehyung thought.
"My mom is inside, would you like to meet her?" Taehyung gestured a hand towards the door "She mentioned to me how it would be so nice to see you. She knew because I told her the moment you booked a ticket on your way here."
"Ah yes, I would love to see her!" Hoseok smiled warmly.
The bell of the cafe jingled as the two friends entered the cafe. Taehyung led the red haired guy towards the area where his mom sat. Taehyung's mom is quick to acknowledge the other company of her son and then stood up with a charming face.
"Hello there! You must be Taehyung's pen pal? Your name is.. Seokkie, am I right?" Taehyung's mom questioned and shook Hoseok's hand.
"Hii, Its nice to meet you! It's actually Hoseok, ma'm," Hoseok grinned and chuckled softly since he almost got his name right.
"Oh I'm very sorry. I knew right there something was missing. Seokkie suits you though, and then you may just call me Ana rather than ma'm."
"Alrighty then, that's very nice of you." Hoseok let out a hehe which amused Taehyung's mother.
After the two exchanged greetings, Ana, Taehyung's mom, allowed Hoseok to sit down and order something he'd like. Hoseok was a little bit shy at first though, but decided it wouldn't be polite to decline an offer. So, he picked a chocolate chip frappe and a strawberry with raisin cookie. The ones he chose weren't expensive, he thought about how Taehyung's mom shouldn't spend too much despite he found tons of other delicious food right on the menu.
While they waited, of course the three would start up a chat. The first topic was regarding where Hoseok originally lived. He said that left Korea to stay at America when he was still a baby around the age of 2 because of his parent's business promotion. Though, something else ignited the chit chat.
"After 18 years, I'm officially moving back here in this very country!" And that was enough to pull out Taehyung's socket. "Not only that but I'll also take took the entrance exam where Tae schools and passed!"
"WAIT WHAT?" Eye sockets out and Taehyung's mouth is also wide wide open.
"Yep, you heard that right Tae. You thought I was the only one with a surprise once I arrived here? L-m-a-o, no." Hoseok's face features crinkled with pleasure upon looking at the eagerness of his friend.
"Nooo waaaay! We better have the same class in at least some subject," Taehyung said. He remembered that Hoseok's present was waiting at his house "Oh mom, could we continue this chat at home? I forgot we also have something for Hoseok."
"Sure, darling. I'll prepare snacks when you guys get hungry." Taehyung's mom replied.
"That sounds nice, ma'm. Oh. I mean Ana."
With all of that being said, the three got ready to leave after the bill was paid. They went out and hopped on the pick-up seats. The fresh breeze was fascinating as they made their way towards home.
