Katniss POV:

I was sitting on my bed waiting for Johanna to come and get me, I wonder what she thinks of me know, will she ignore me now that she knows how I feel for her?

I sigh and lay back on the bed, I hear a little knock on the door, I have a little trouble getting out of the bed, god damn it! I hate having to role out of my bed like a little kid! I rant to myself as I get up, I sigh a little and stumble to the door, I open it slowly" hey" she says gently, I feel her hand on my shoulder as she gently pushes me aside so she could let herself in.

She sits on my bed and pats the space beside her, I hesitant a little as I sit and leave some space between us, she pulls my body up agents her side," that's better" she whispers in my ear making me shiver,I knew she was smirking but I didn't say anything about it," d-did he tell you?" I ask in a small voice feeling timid," yeah, yeah he did baby" wait what?! She called me...baby, that made my heart flutter, I felt my cheeks heat up " b-baby?".

She nods smiling at me making me blush more ," in the arena you'll be with me instead of Peeta...he and some others will be in a group with you and I, I'm going to protect you with everything I got okay hon?" I was happy that ill be with her in the arena, I know she can protect me, but I also know I can protect her as well if it comes down to it.

I feel overwhelmed and I think she seen that because she leans in and kisses my forehead gently," Haymitch said I could stay the night with you, is that okay?"I nod and smile at her, thinking there wouldn't be any harm in letting her stay with me," good girl" she tells me.
