"Wow!" Antonio gasped as he stepped out of the taxi.
"I really feel like I should contribute to the cost of the journey," Carlos persisted.
"No, it's okay, really." Lea told him.
"It's just so big," Antonio gazed up at the building in front of him.
"He's never been to an airport before," Carlos explained, giving a chuckle. He glanced over to this grandson who was still gazing up at the tall glass building in front of him.
Five days had gone by and Antonio and Lea were beginning their journey to England.
"I would come in and make sure you're you get checked in okay but the taxi's waiting and for every second he has to wait, the more money it costs. It's very kind of you to pay for the transport you know. I'm going to miss you. I know we haven't known each other for long but I feel like it was destiny for you and Antonio to end up together. I see the way he looks at you and the way you are when you're together make me certain that you're meant to be."
"Well thank you for saying that, that's very sweet of you. You know, the minute our eyes met that very first day, I felt a feeling I had never felt before. I felt like I had had met him before in another life and ever since then we'd been searching to find each again, in this life. I know it sounds silly but..."
"It's not silly," Carlos interrupted. "You two were meant to be together. I know it."
Lea grinned.
"I can't believe I'm leaving Portugal. W... what if I'm not ready to go. I've never left home before. Lea I don't think I can do this." Antonio said in a panic.
Lea took Antonio's Antonio d into hers and looked him in the eyes.
"I know you feel a bit nervous but you can do this. I know you can." Lea reassured him.
"You can do it," Carlos chipped in.
Antonio looked at his grandfather then back at Lea. Her face looked pained like she was holding her breath and refusing to breathe until he spoke.
"Okay, I'll do, I can do this," Antonio reassured himself.
"Hurray!" Carlos cheered.
Lea ran up to Antonio and rapped her arms around him and he spun her around, planting a kiss gently on her lips just before her feet touched the ground.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye. For now at least," Carlos said, turning to face Antonio.
"You know you've always been like a father to me," Antonio replied, wrapping his arms around his grandad.
"I hope you know where we're going," Antonio said as the entered the airport.
"Yes, now come on." Lea laughed, grabbed him by the Antonio d and pulling him over to their check in point.
Antonio and Lea checked in and went through security. Antonio had got stopped and searched because the alarm had gone off as he passed through.
"How was I supposed to know you weren't allowed to take sharp objects on an airplane?" Antonio said, as they took their seats on the plane.
"Everyone just knows," Lea replied.
"Well I've never flown on a plane before, let alone been to an airport," Antonio responded in defence.
"Well, didn't you see the signs?
"No, what signs?"
Lea laughed and shock her head.
