June 12

I am so done. I am so lost. I am so tired. And it finally occurred to me that I'll be like that forever. Actually, when you think about it, this a really pretty spot. Calm water rushing beneath you, a gentle breeze brushing past your cheeks. You can see all the pretty lights of the city, and around this time the bridge is mostly vacant. I feel the cold metal against my palms as I push myself to stand on the railing. I close my eyes and breath in the night air. I spread my arms and feel the breeze carrying me forward.

Just as I was about to fall someone grabbed my wrist and practically yanked me onto the concrete of the bridge. I slowly get up and notice that my upper arm hurts a lot. I roll up my sleeve and notice a cut. I wince in pain as I let the fabric of my sweater fall over the wound again. ''What the hell?!!!'' I yelled as loud as I could to the person next to me. It was a boy, probably not much older than me, and he was
sitting next to me panting like he just ran a marathon. ''What the hell do you think you're doing?! It's dangerous up there, you could have fallen!'' He exclaims while getting up. I also get up and notice he is almost a head taller than me. ''That was exactly the point!!!'' I yell in frustration.

He gave a slightly shocked look and I started to turn around and walk away. After a few steps, I hear him jogging up next to me. ''Hey, wait, you're hurt!'' I looked at him and scoffed. ''And why the hell would you care? Just leave me alone.'' I say coldly, as I'm walking away yet again. He sighed and walked beside me. ''I do care! Just, let me bandage it up for you, please?'' I shook my head quietly. ''If you would've just let me fall and minded your own business, you wouldn't have to bandage me up in the first place.'' He smiled at me. ''I'd rather bandage you up than fish you out of the river.'' I gave him a weird look and continued to walk straight forward. ''Come on, I know a place where we can get some medicine.'' He took my hand in his and started to jog off into a random direction. ''Hey! I never said I needed your help! Let me go!'' He, however, didn't listen to me and continued running.

When we arrived at the little convenience store I was out of breath. The boy quickly started to look around for bandages and some medicine. I just stood there trying to breathe normally again. When he found everything he needed, he paid and walked towards me, motioning me to sit in one of the chairs in front of the convenience store. I sighed and sat down. He grabbed another chair and sat next to me, looking closely at my wound. He grabbed some rubbing alcohol and put some on a little cushion. When he started to dab it onto the wound I hissed out in pain. He looked at me apologetically and continued to treat my cut. When he was done he pulled my sweater back down. I said a small ''thank you'' as I stood up to leave. He grabbed my wrist and looked at me.

"What?" I gave him a confused look. He stood up. "What's your name?" He asked. "Why do you want to know?" He sighed. "Can't I even know the name of the person I saved?" He raised his eyebrow giving me a small smile. I turn my back to him. "It's not like you'll see me again, I don't see the point in giving you my name." I heard him come up behind me. "And what if I do want to see you again?" I gave him a judgemental look. "Then you've really hit your head hard." This time he grabbed my wrist. I let out a loud sigh and stood still. "Please... Just give me your number." I shook my head to get rid of all the voices in my head telling me to just walk away and let that be the end of it. I held my hand out to him. He gave me a gummy smile before grabbing his phone out of his back pocket. He placed it in my hand and I typed in my number. I handed it back to him and started to walk away. I heard him scream behind me "I'll text you!!" I waved absentmindedly behind me without turning around. 'Why did I do that?'

'ding' I groggily open one eye and look at my phone on the nightstand. 'Who the fuck is bothering me this early in the morning?' 'ding' I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes. 'ding' "OKAY OKAY I GET IT!!" I yell at my phone. When I opened my messages I got a confused look on my face.
