"Don't touch me!" Audrey yelled. "Don't fucking touch me! You lost that right a long time ago!"
"Audrey please just listen!" Luke yelled as Audrey ran out of the house.
As Audrey ran thoughts of what she could've done wrong plagued her thoughts.
She didn't stop running until she had reached the bridge and mainly because Luke had caught up with her.
"What Lu-"
"No!" Luke yelled. "For once in your damn life Audrey you are going to listen." He hissed making Audrey stop speaking as it began to lightly drizzle.
"Okay."
"I have tried for three damn years to please you. Three useless fucking years trying to help you; hell, I thought I was in love with you Audrey! I was going to marry you!" He shouted. "But for once in your miserable life you couldn't take the fucking hint. I loved you enough to marry you at one point in our relationship."
"Loved?" Audrey spoke with a broken sob before she started banging on Luke's chest. "You loved me? If you loved me you wouldn't have done this to me!"
"You can't be fixed Audrey," Luke spoke as Audrey turned and started walking away as the rain picked up. "You're just... broken."
Audrey stilled and turned back, the tears flowing freely down her clear face.
"Oh I'm the broken one now?" She spit with venom.
He gave a small scoff in response and spoke as if his words were the most obvious things in the world. "Yeah Audrey, whether you believe me or not, it's the truth."
"Who was the one with the drinking problem, who was the one who put their hands on me, who was the one that cheated!" She screamed out.
"Audrey just-"
"Just what, just calm down Luke? Tell me who it was that did those things Luke, tell me because it wasn't me. You were supposed to be different." Without another word Audrey turned around and walked away while Luke yelled at her from afar.
"Where are you going Audrey? I'm all you have remember!"
She said nothing and continued on her way eventually reaching a bus stop.
"Give me a ticket anywhere as long as it's far away from here."
"Rough night?" The brunette spoke without looking up.
She scoffed before responding "More like a rough 3 years."
"Sorry to hear that," he spoke solemnly "you wanna know where i'm sending you?"
"I was never into surprises as a kid but maybe I need one now." Audrey said as she grabbed her ticket.
The trip was a long one but Audrey didn't mind, after all, she didn't have anything. When she was dropped off at the small town she entered the small bar that had bikes littering the entire parking lot.
Taking a seat at the bar she called the bar owner over and had him start pouring drinks.
After half an hour of wallowing in her sadness the seat behind her was pulled back. Looking at the mirror that lay behind the drinks her eyes widened at the sight of the man next to her. He called the bar tender over and sipped on his beer before turning to her.
"What brings you here lil' lady?" His voice made the hair on the back of her neck stand up in surprise. The southern tang in his voice reminded her of the old cowboys she'd watch on t.v.
"It's a long story." She mumbled before throwing the drink back.
"Well seeing as i'm the owner of this place and we don't close for a while..." he paused to take a swig of his beer and as Audrey waited to hear what he had to say she watched the way his arm flexed and moved.
His arm was bigger than her head, could you blame her. "I'd say you've got time. So what brings you down here doll?"
