The two men woke up to go back to U.N.I.T since the brigadier had called them in. Yates was driving as Benton dazed out of the world that he was on, dreaming that one day that him and mike would marry and maybe have at least one child together and then finally grow old together.

"John? You alright? You've been really quiet lately since we talked about getting married" benton quickly snapped out of his train of thoughts "oh um...its nothing i was just thinking" he smiled softly "john you're worrying me please tell me" yates used his free hand to hold on to benton's hand "well that's just it. Marriage. I mean you and me marrying? Not that i wouldn't want to, mike, i do want to its just that us spending a life together in secret without anyone knowing" benton explained "and us to have a family kinda scares me at times" their car stopped at a red light letting Yates to look at his boyfriend in confusion "in what way does it scare you?" benton tightened his grip on Yates hand "im just afraid of how i might turn out to be as a father. I know, it sounds really dumb but its my honest truth, Mike" Yates frowned "that's what i always feel about me half of the time" Benton glanced at Yates "my own father wasn't really a nice man and i always fear that i would turn into him half of the time. That's why i joined the army and met you" yates smiled glancing a little at his boyfriend "but knowing that if were together we could do anything" benton smiled "of course love of course" he gave a quick kiss before finally they arrived.

At U.N.I.T

Benton was with his troop of men as well with yates. They had to be separate even thought they still worried about each other. "Sgt. Benton! Sgt. Benton are you there over!"  called a voice from the radio "yes brigadier me and my men are surrounding that ship sir over" a ship of aliens had landed and the doctor had led them to it so that they would investigate about it "good just make sure you do what the doctor says even though it is stupid over and out" the doctor walked over to benton "now sgt. I want you and you're men to only surround the ship until i get back. For all that know it could be one of the master's tricks" "but what if you don't make it back?" benton replied "then feel free to barge into the ship and attack. Give me an hour" the doctor then left towards the ship to investigate.

Over two hours later

Benton paced back and forth in the mens bath room worrying about his boyfriend Yates "~oh mike i hope you get here quick please oh please~" he thought, the door to the bathroom opened as he froze in place when he heard a familiar voice "john? What are you worrying about?" it was Yates. Benton rushed over to him, closing the door quickly making sure no one was watching them. "Mike you don't know how worried i was about you" he aggressively kissed Yates wrapping his arms about his lovers neck before pulling away "im sorry john i should've contacted to you on the radio to let you know that i was okay" they pressed their foreheads together affectionately "i love you, mike" "and i love you,john" the door opened, the men froze with fear. They were caught. "Capt.Yates? Sgt.benton? What are you two doing in here alone?" the doctor asked, they turned to face him "d-doctor!? You won't tell anyone nor the brigadier will you? Please" benton pleaded the doctor only chuckled "sgt. benton why on earth would i just go around and spread gossip about you two? I think its alright for you two to be with each other" yates' caution dropped "you mean that you're okay with us being together even though we are both-" "men? Of course im alright with it! Its normal on my planet why can't it be the same in england" the two men shrugged "well i must get going now, good-day gentlemen" the doctor left them alone to only have the two men stare with confusion.

"I can't believe the doctor didn't give one care about us of what we were doing" Yates said laying in bed beside benton "mike, he did say that its normal where he's from" Yates sat up "well, i hope he'll keep that damn promise he said he'd keep" benton chuckled, kissing yates' neck cheek "im sure he will,mike, now goodnight"  Yates sighed before laying back down with benton in his arms "goodnight,love"
