Disclaimer: I didn't get Jayne and Chris for my birthday or for Christmas, so I don't own them. I do not mean any harm or offence to J&C. I love them to much to offend them deliberately. Everything is nothing but fiction, if any events did happen it's coincidental! (But somehow I don't think any of this happened!)

Amazing. The one word that always popped into her head when she watched him skate. Even after nearly forty years Jayne was still mesmerised with the way Chris effortlessly moved round the ice. Jayne was in her own little bubble as she watched Chris go into a spiral jump... BANG! Time seemed to completely stop as Jayne watched her best friend hit the ice face first, she skated to his still body as quickly as she could.

"Chris! Please open your eyes. I need you. I love you." She sobbed as she fell to his side.

The studio medics had see the accident happen and ran to Chris, they were treating him when Chris opened his eyes.

"Hey, what are the tears for?" Chris asked as he put his hand on Jayne.

Hearing Chris's voice Jayne lifted her head.

"Chris! I thought I had lost you. Are you alright?" Jayne asked squeezing his hand.

"My neck, shoulder and back hurt a little, but I'll be fine." Chris said going to sit up.

"I'm sorry Chris, but you will have to lie flat until we can rule out spinal damage. We also have to take you to hospital because you blacked out." One if the medics said calling for an ambulance.

Chris was about to argue but Jayne got in first.

"Don't start! You are going to hospital and that's the end of it." She said.

"Fine." Was all Chris said.

When the ambulance arrived with the stretcher Chris was still bickering with Jayne that he was fine and didn't need to go to hospital.

"Will you please just be quiet. You are going end of story!" Jayne said as they lifted Chris onto the stretcher.

Please, Please comment what you think and tell me if you want the rest of the story.
