Recap:
I heard more shouting and I was wondering why so I got up and walked over to the kitchen to see Paul shaking really hard and Emily cornered. I walked over and stood in front of Emily. I don’t know why if it was because I am already used to being hurt or if I feel like I’ve known her my whole life because she is just that type of person. “p-please don’t hurt her” I said scared out of my mind.
When I said that it looked like he just realized what he was doing right now. “Emily I am so sorry” he said and then took off out of the house.
I turned around to Emily and asked “Emily are you ok?” and Emily nodded and then I broke down. I didn’t feel strong anymore. I just collapsed on the floor crying.
Emily sat down beside me and wrapped her arms around me “Hunny I am just fine but are you ok?” I shook my head. I don’t know if I can handle being here.

Chapter 5
Jaylyn’s POV
Emily took me over to the couch and sat me down. “E-Emily am not sure if I can stay here. I just can’t handle it.” I said while crying.
Emily looked like she was about to start crying too. “Jay you don’t need to leave I will handle everything” Emily said calmly and worriedly to me.
“Emily you don’t understand I just can’t deal with this.” I said.
“Fine but just promise me that if you ever need anything you will call me” “I will always be there if you need me. You need someone you can count on and I can be that person. I already feel u r like a daughter to me” Emily said sincerely.
I smiled at Emily and hugged her “Thank you so much Emily, for everything” I said and stood up and headed for the door and started walking down the road.
“Wait Jay at least let me call u a cab” Emily said running after me.
I smiled “thank you Emily” Emily went and called a cab and then we waited. When the cab got here I gave them my parents address and said bye to Emily and I was gone back to that hell hole my parents live at. Wish me luck I guess.

FEW HOURS LATER

Jaylyn’s POV
When I got back home my parents were furious with me. They hit me and threw me into walls. I could barely walk I was in so much pain. I was right now in my room scared out of my mind. I wish I hadn’t left Emily’s house.
I was just then sitting on my bed when I heard yelling downstairs. I got to the bottom of the stairs just to see my father turn into a huge wolf. The wol-I mean my father went after my mom and I screamed. The wolf looked at me and ran at me and slashed my arm. I could feel all the blood coming out of me as well as the life. I fell to the floor and darkness overcame me.

30 Mins Later

I woke up and I saw blood all around me and my mom dead on the floor and my father gone. I felt really weak. I crawled over to where the phone was and dialed Emily’s phone number.
The phone was dialing and when I thought no one was going to answer I heard Emily say “hello?”
I instantly felt relieved “e-Emily” I said weakly.
“Jaylyn! What’s wrong are you ok?” Emily said sounding panicked.
“E-Emily I need help. M-my father h-he t-turned int-to a b-big w-wolf and h-he at-tacked me and m-my m-mother is d-dead” I got out and then I felt darkness overcome me again.

Emily’s POV
The phone went dead. OH NO! Oh god. “SAM GET IN HERE!” I yelled scared to death for Jaylyn.
Sam came barging in “What’s wrong Em?!” he said worried about me.
“Sam, Jaylyn’s father is a shape shifter and he attacked Jaylyn and killed her mother! She’s hurt and the line just went dead!” I said hyperventilating now.
“Ok Emily you need to calm down or you’ll pass out. I will get the guys and we will get her and help her.” Sam said trying to stay calm but I could tell that he was having troubles.
Sam ran outside and called for Jared, Jacob, and Paul. They all came over and Sam caught them up. I swear I heard Paul growl when Sam said Jaylyn was hurt.
In a few minutes Sam, Jacob, Jared, and Paul were off to go help Jaylyn. I really hope she’s still alive.
