I was lying, sprawled along the burgundy couch, Insurgent in hand, hooked once again upon the incredible series when a song I didn't recognize blasted into the room.

'I was scared of dentists and the dark, I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations.'

"That's your phone." Isaac told me.

"Oh I have a phone, cool!" I put the book down with some difficulty and found the source of the song.

I picked up a sleek black rectangle of glass and metal which had the sound blasting out of it.

"Zac, this might sound weird, but how do you work this thing?" I asked. He chuckled slightly and came over to me. He pressed a hidden button on the side of the phone and slid a finger along the screen.

Enter pass code. The screen read. Isaac bit his lip.

"Damn, I don't know your pass code. You have any idea?" I raised my eyebrows pointedly. "Oh right."

"Then how do we get into the phone?" I asked him. He grinned.

"Knowing you, your pass code is someone's birthday, because that's the only way you would remember it." He tapped in my birthday, 0709. No success. Then he typed in 2711. No success.

"Who's birthday is that?" I asked.

"Chase's." he told me.

"Wait." I took the phone from him and tapped in 0309. The phone clicked open.

"Just cos I had a bit of a head banger doesn't mean a forget my favorite cousins birthday." I grinned

"Gee thanks cuz." He grinned. I answered the still ringing phone and out it to my ear.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Ohmigod hi!" I vaguely recognized Rowanne's voice over the phone.

"Hi, how are you?" I asked.

"I'm fine, but more importantly, me and Alissa decided you have to come for a night so we can help you with the whole memory loss thing!" She announced all in one breath.

"Okay, I guess I could come." I answered. She laughed a little.

"Oh, that's cute. You thought you could say no." She chuckled. "You're coming no matter what you say. Like, right now. Get Isaac to drive you."

"Ok. Cool. I'll be there in- umm. I don't actually know how long it takes to get to your house, but however long that is." I replied.

"See ya." She called and hung up. I locked up my phone and turned to Isaac. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him.

"Zac, you know how much I love my big bro right?" I asked him. Calling him my brother usually made him putty in m hands. He was a big softie when it came to that. Always had been since we were kids. He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest.

"What d'you want?" He asked me. I pulled back scandalized.

"You automatically assume I want something!" I cried in indignation.

"Well do you?" He asked.

"As it happens yes, but you shouldn't simply assume that." I scolded him. "Can you drive me to Rowanne's house? Since I kinda forgot how to drive." He smiled and nodded.

"Alright head banger lets go."

"So you think your thirteen?" Alissa asked. I shrugged.
