It all started when Sarah and I went to the park. I had to convince her. If I hadn't succeeded we would never have met. And I'm so happy that she finally agreed, if she hadn't I would never have gotten to stare into his beautiful chocolate-brown eyes. I'm Steph. I'm going to tell you about the time I held onto a guy I just bumped into so that I wouldn't fall on my butt. So this is how it happened. Sarah and I were walking in the park and just talking and laughing, laughing and talking. Like normal teenagers. And then BOOM. A guy hit me with his back trying to catch a football and turns around fast enough to catch me, and he does. Also there is a football rolling around somewhere.
Here goes the story of My Perfect Date
His eyes were so brown and deep it looked like a sea of chocolate pudding. We stared into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity, yet it was just a few seconds of us both trying to catch our breaths, me from screaming of fear and him from running around. After a few more seconds we heard a voice yell "Hey Jackson, you coming or what!?" I hated that guy so much for interrupting our moment. I just wanted to scream "Hey Jerk. Cant you shut the hell up!?" but I didn't because I didn't want to make a bad first impression to the hottest guy I've seen. He helped me up and apologized. "It's ok, my name is Stephanie" I said as I was jumping inside. "I'm Connor " A few milliseconds after he said that Sarah interrupted with a "And I'm Sarah".
Wow. Thanks Sarah.
He seemed so nice, he is cute, I though. He picked up his football and said that he should go. "Yeah, alright" "I'll see you around" all I could say was "Definitely" And all I could think was that he was so hot.
A few weeks had passed but I didn't see him anywhere. Me and Sarah would go out everyday but he wouldn't be seen. It was also summer break so he was probably with his friends or girlfriend. But when school started I was very surprised to seem him in the hallways and in my classes. After a few days I noticed we had almost the exact same classes. But it was one class that I was free. I had 1 hour and 30 minutes everyday that I didn't need to be shy to answer a question. After a while he noticed that I was in his classes and one day after math, he was by my locker. Of course I was very surprised.
He greeted me while I was opening my locker. "Hi Connor. What are you doing here" I asked. He told me that he had just moved from where he last lived. "Oh". He told me that his mom got a job here so they moved. Using my ability to be subtle I asked if he missed someone from where they lived before and he answered that he only missed his friends and family. Witch meant that he probably didn't have a girlfriend. As he said that the bell rang, doing what its supposed to and warning us that we only had five minutes until science class would start. I quickly closed my locker with everything I needed in my hands and we started moving towards class.
He told me that he wanted to ask me something and he seemed really nervous about it. "Yes, what is it?". He seemed really nervous about what he wanted to ask. "Would you maybe..." I told him to come out with it and then he said that he thought I was beautiful. Que the butterflies, the feels and the blushing. "And I was wondering if". I couldn't think, I was just blushing and walking towards class. " you would like to go on a date... With me?". I would again have to be subtle so I said that I would love to but I said that way to enthusiastic so I said "I mean, yeah sure" he said that he would pick me up at my house on Friday at 7 pm and then we walked through the door to start the lesson.
During the week we started to talk more and more but on Friday I was to nervous to talk to him because of the date so I totally avoided him. I could barely concentrate in class. After school, Sarah and I went back to my place and we started to choose what I was going to wear. We decided that I would wear a blue flannel shirt with white ripped jeans, a small blue handbag that was read on the inside with my purple converse. When we where done choosing the little handbag we heard a car pull up the driveway and as we were done choosing shoes the door bell rang and Sarah squealed and said"That's gotta be him" we went downstairs and I opened the door. He was so handsome. He was wearing a white shirt with a black blazer and blue jeans and he looked so cute and handsome and I couldn't choose any other words.
We were just staring at each other for a few moments and then he said "Woow. You look really beautiful." I blushed and with a smile on my face said "Thank you. You don't look to bad yourself. We laughed and the Sarah said "ok, out with you two. Don't be out too late now. Bye!" After we said goodbye to her we walked down to his car and we got in. As he started the car I asked where we were going and he answered that it would be a surprise with a smug smile in his face
He drove out of the driveway and off. I turned on the radio and we started talking. After a few minutes my favorite song came on and I announced it. He said that he had never heard it before and for a few moments it was just the music, the motor and the wind making sound. It was not an awkward-quietness but the type of quiet where you feel safe, you feel like nothing could be wrong. The song had just started the lyric part so without thinking about it I started to hum a little, and gradually it turned into soft singing and then I stopped because I noticed that he was looking at me instead of the road. "Look at the road!!" And he did.
After a few minutes we arrived to a really new fancy restaurant that you would have to order months before actually going. "Were you this sure that I would accept your date??" I said as I laughed and he joined me. He told me how it was always his father's dream to own a restaurant and that he would now have the chance so he took it. A couple seconds later we had driven into a parking space and we were just getting out of the car as he told me to sit still. He got out and walked around the car and then opened the car door for me and took my hand and helped me out.
We walked out of the parking lot like that, hand in hand and up the few steps and in through the door. Right as we walked in we had to be careful because there was such a big line. We walked past the line as he said that he was sorry and a few times said that he was the chefs son. We got to the small table and he said "Hey sis. Table for two." She said hi and hugged me as I was trying to figure out what was happening I hugged her back. She let go of me and told a waiter to take us to table 7.
The waiter told us to follow her and we did. We arrived at the table, she gave us our menus and the left for us to choose what to eat. He asked me what I wanted and then called for the waiter. He told him that we wanted two warm chicken salads with dressing. "With the dressing on the side" he nodded and asked if it would be on both. We both nodded in agreement and he walked away with our menus and orders. I excused myself because I wanted to wash my hands and he said that he would too so we both left for the bathrooms.
When I had returned he was standing with his back towards me and then he turned around and gave me a bouquet of pink and red roses. I walked up to him and he gave me the roses and I thanked him. He had gotten a small vase as well and put it in the middle of the table instead of the yellow flower. As we sat down again the waiter came with our food. We talked about a lot of things while we ate. We talked about the food, family, school and even a little about a next date.
When we were done we both thought that it was way too early to end the date. I picked up the flowers and we had a little argument about the note. He, in the end, payed. After that we walked out to the parking lot and put our shoes into the trunk and went to the beach which was a small walking distance away. We walked down the beach. We walked around, played. I went on a little piggyback ride and we had a lot of fun. In the end we started to walk back and then we sat down next to the water on a big rock in front of the restaurant and watched the sunset. We looked at each other and in the moment, we kissed. It was loving ,caring and passionate. It was like fireworks around us. It was like magic.
After that we walked back to the car hand in hand and got in. This time it took a lot faster to get to our destination. When he drove into the driveway I was kinda sad that it would be over. He got out of the car and opened the car door for me. He took my free hand and helped me out. He even closed it behind me. We walked up to the porch and he said "I'm sorry it's over" I told him that I was sad too. But that there should be a next time. When I looked into his eyes all I could see was caring and love. We stared into each other's eyes once again and like the first time.
We kissed. We kissed for a longer time this time. And then we hugged. And the hug was even better than the kiss. It was just so embracing. I felt so safe in his arms and I was so cold when he let go of me. I unlocked the door slowly and then I opened it at the same pace. I looked back and he was still standing there. We looked into each other's eyes and I kissed him one last time that day, but this time on his cheek.
"Good night Steph."
"Good night Connor."
