Ash's Aura

Chapter 2

Ash held May's hand as he led her through the forest, a pleasant warmth filling his chest. He was taking may to a spot only he knew about. As he was thinking about how he would confess, May was lost in her own thoughts.

He's holding my hand! she screamed to herself mentally, laughing giddily to herself. She felt herself blush when Ash turned his warm amber gaze towards her, eyebrow raised in a silent question. Oh, how she loved those eyes that held so much passion and love. Yup, Our brunette coordinator loved our idiotic Pokemon trainer. "Where are you taking me?" she questioned, to which Ash smiled sweetly. "Its a surprise." he said simply, before tightening his grip on her gloved hand and speeding up. May didn't complain, instead she increased her speed as well, until both teens were practically sprinting.

They soon came to a stop near a clearing, Ash turning around to face May. "Close your eyes." he said, chuckling slightly when May rolled her eyes playfully before complying. After making sure she wasn't peeking, Ash led her farther into the clearing onto a small hill aligned with soft grass. He gently lowers her into a comfortable sitting position before he sat next to her, his hand never leaving hers. Glancing up at the pink sky to see the beginning of stars to come out, Ash breathed deeply. 'Now or never Ketchum' he thought.

"Open your eyes May." he said softly, watching as the cerulean orbs he loved so much widened in surprise. May gasp softly as she looked at the seen layed before her. She was sitting on soft, plush grass on top of a small rise in the land that over looked a large lake. The setting sun turned the water beautiful shades of blue, purple, pink, and orange. The few stars that dotted the sky reflected of the surface of the water as it rippled slowly. Pokemon, large and small alike drank peacefully from the lake. May turned to look at Ash, who was looking at her, awaiting her reaction. "Do you like it?" he whispered, not wanted to break the peaceful seen.

His heart swelled when May tackled him in a hug that sent them rolling down the small hill. They both laughed when the reached the bottom, accidentally startling some Pokemon. May laughed brightly, cheeks flushed. "I'll take that as a yes." Ash laughed, before noticing the position he was in.

He had ended up landing on top of May, his hands on ether side of the brunettes head, his legs entangled in hers. He blushed, but it slowly faded as he looked down at the girl. Her hair had fallen out of her bandana and was framing her face. A cute blush ran across her cheeks, her ocean blue eyes gazing up at her amber ones. Her soft breaths tickled his chin, signifying how close there faces were. There lips inches apart, and that's when Ash lost it.

He swooped in suddenly, capturing her soft lips in his own. He put as much of his love and passion into it as much as he could, caressing May's face with one hand while he used the other to hold himself up. May felt her face go hot as Ash kissed her. His boldness shocked her, but she quickly shook it off as she returned the kiss, feeding all of her feelings for the raven haired teen. They kissed for a few minutes until they both parted for air. They layed there for a few moments, catching there breath until May decided to break the silence.

"Ash? Wha-" she began, but was cut off by Ash. "I'm sorry for doing that May," he started, staring her in the eyes," over the past few years I've been holding this in, my feelings. It wasn't easy for me to admit this but..." he hesitated, then blurted out "I love you May Maple!" At first May didn't say anything, which made Ash nervous. He began to roll off of her until something grabbed his wrist.

He looked back down at the coordinator, fear in his eyes. But what happened next surprised him. May gently cupped his face, and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. Seeing his shock and confusion, May couldn't help but giggle. "I love you too Ash." she whispered, before swooping up to kiss Ash again. Surprised but happy his feelings were returned, he kissed back, fighting for dominance. He let out a surprised yelp when May flipped them over to were she was now sitting on his chest straddling him.
