You looked in the mirror one last time before grabbing your bag and walking out the door. Your stomach filled with butterflies, coating you head to toe in nervousness. Not that you let it show much on the outside, but you really thought you might throw up.

Virus had won a bet last week, and now you had to go on this stupid date with him. You didn't know why you got so dressed up, it was probably just instinct or something like that. As far as you knew, you had no feelings for that egotistical freak. He was a jerk, and not to mention his constant habit of called you, 'dear.'

It was annoying beyond belief, and it's like his sole purpose is to annoy you beyond anything else. You shake the thought away, sighing as you walk down the stairs of your front porch. The cold was biting, and you pulled your gray scarf further around your neck, nuzzling yourself in warmth. It's the middle of December, and here Virus wants to be outside.

I guess the coldness serves it's purpose inside and out, huh..” You snap mentally, looking at the frozen over steps of your rickety front porch. You took your first step, holding onto the railing for support. You were sliding all over the place, and it was hard to keep your balance for even a couple of seconds.

“Isn't that a sight.” Virus' voice came out of what seemed like nowhere, and you jumped unintentionally. You foot slipped off the edge of the stair, causing you to volt forward. You clenched your eyes shut, shoving your hands in front of you to break your expected fall.

You felt warmth engulf you, and you were shaking tremendously from the little airborne trip you've just had. You look up to see Virus' electric blue eyes staring down at you, the sweater he was wearing balled up in your fists.

“Aren't you just shaking like a puppy, poor thing.” He cooed with a smile on his face. You frowned, pushing yourself out of his arms and doubling back. It was true though, your knees were shaking like crazy and you could barely stand.

Virus let his smile slip a bit, and he tilted his head, “Are you okay, dear?” He asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

You blinked a few times, your wide eyes looking up at him. Was he really concerned? Did he really care? Or was he..just messing with you..

You look down, lost in thought as your eyes drooped at the possibility of Virus just playing with you, not being serious.

Wait. I don't care! That's right. I don't like him.” You corrected yourself, looking up with a frown on your face and your hands clenched at your sides. “I'm fine. Now let's get this over with.” You said, shakily walking past him and pulling your scarf up on your face.

Virus could be heard chuckling behind you. He walked next to you in an instant, smiling as he nodded. “Of course.”

You raised an eyebrow at him. You definitely weren't expecting him to reply like that. If anything, you'd think he would respond with some form of sarcasm, if anything.

You walked with your hands shoved into your sweater pockets, looking down at the icy ground. Virus didn't specify where you two were going exactly, and he was going to meet you on the street. You should've known he would surprise you like that, coming straight up to your house.

You eyed him out of the corner of your eye, and examined him. He was looking straight ahead, a small smile on his lips. What was he plotting, if anything?! He seemed way to cool about this, just walking here in awkward silence. It was beginning to get to you, and you needed to break it soon.

“Where are we going, anyways?” You asked, stopping and turning towards him.

He looked down at you, raising an eyebrow. He smiled softly, “Just follow me, okay?” He said gently, starting to walk again.

You were stopped dead in your tracks. You've never heard or seen Virus act that kind towards anyone... not to mention you. Could it be that he wasn't just...

You clenched your eyes shut, trying to shake the warmth that had crept its way onto your cheeks away. You walked towards him again, hanging back behind him slightly. He turned right on the sidewalk, and you blinked as you saw where you were headed.

What is this? This... It was never here before...” You thought as you stopped walking, gawking at the sight. Cherry blossoms lined both sides of the pathway, green grass all around the soft, warm looking sidewalk. The sun shone in between the trees' branches, flooding the floor with soft pink light.

Virus looked back at you, smiling gently as he extended a hand out to you. You looked at his hand, then back at the scenery. It was like an entirely different world, no snow, no gloom. You then looked up into Virus' eyes, your own sparkling with curiosity. You felt your face heat up as you took his hand, and he led you into the cave you pink trees.

What was this feeling? You looked up to him as he looked ahead, your hand tingling as he held it. You didn't...like him...

No, despite how many times you said that, you knew it was a lie. Especially now, that you were both here. For him to do this, to go out of his way for you especially when he thought you didn't feel the same..

He led you to what seemed like the end of the sidewalk, where a giant pink tree stood. The petals flew off of it when the slightest bit of wind blew, and the sun that shone directly on the plant reflected pink all around it.

Virus clenched your hand slightly, puling you right underneath the tree. He smiled as he looked down into your eyes, and ran a finger underneath your jaw. You shivered at the touch, your cheeks flushed as you looked up into his electric orbs. He looked back, leaning down slightly as he pressed his lips against yours. You returned the action, and he pulled away slightly after a while. He smiled, hugging you close.

“That wasn't so bad...was it?” He asked quietly, sounding warm.

You hugged him back tightly, “...It was perfect.” You answered with a smile on your face.

And you meant every single word.
