"Levi!", Hange annoying voice makes its way into my head like an alarm clock. I open my eyes as the shimmering sunlight blinds me.

"Ugh...what?" I say closing my eyes and shifting my head down.

"We have to start picking out our recruits lazy bone", she laughs while handing me a paper. I glance at it then throw it down.

"Recruits? We haven't even seen them in battle! Besides, why pick someone from this district? Most of their great fighters are dead right?" I lay my head back as I slowly start to drift back to sleep.

"Still there are plenty of people here with great talent we just have to look for it in them", Hange laughs.

"You just want a lab rat", Gunther smirks.

"Maybe..."Hange smirks then giggles.

"I heard they're more experienced here this could be good", Petra smiles.

"Good doesn't cut it when fighting titans...you have to be better..." I say.

"Doesn't matter if their good, bad, great or suckers! We need the recruits for the squad," Eld forms.

"If we don't?" I question.

"Erwin will be on our ass like flies on a fly trap," Eld groans.

I scoff. Like I gave a damn! If I could I would have killed him a long time ago. And I should have! It was just something about that smile that I could never shake off. It made me wanna question what would happen next. Fucking curiosity's a bitch!

"Tsk...whatever", I pick up the paper in the wagon that I threw down and look over it this time.

Most of them are pretty young but fast...and smart? Hmm, maybe this won't be such a waste. I close my eyes and lay back on the hardwood of the wagon once again. Ugh, I feel dirty...

Eren P.O.V

"Are you slacking? Stop slacking! We have no time dammit!" Commander Shadis yells.

I gasp and pant, holding on desperately to my legs for support. Sweat dripped from my forehead like rain. I desperately thrived for some water right now.

"Eren!? Are you stopping!? This is no time to stop! Defeat the titan's dammit! Every moment right now you rest! Or let your guard down you could get killed! This is a battlefield where the possibilities are 50/50! Now do what you need to do!"

"Sir, yes sir!" I cross my left arm over my heart and in a fist.
