No, not really." Jaendre guaranteed and she looked at the both of us with lifted brows.
"What is it then?" She gave a short gasp and her eyes widened, "Did you give father the letter?!"
"Yes...this morning." I said and the older girl frowned
"Then is something erroneous?"
"Not at all... It’s just that father doesn't want you to stay at the hotel. He ordered that we take you straight home."
"You mean he wants to meet me today already!" She pulled away from me with a pale face, wringing her hands together.
I knew exactly what was going on in her mind. She hoped to meet him but not so soon... She thought she could adjust to the whole idea of a family she never knew of first before she met them but now it seemed that was out of the question.
"But certainly, I can meet him and still stay at the hotel..."
"Ummm...see that's the problem." Jaendre interrupted and we strolled over to her luggage.
"How is that a problem?"
“Well, he made some calls and figured out where you will be staying so… he cancelled your room!" He reluctantly offered and Elizabeth's expression changed to an outraged one.
"He cancelled it?!! Impossible!! "
Isabella looked at Jaendre with a muted appearance. This was what they were afraid of... Having Lizabeth getting to know who our father really is.
I reached out and touched Elizabeth's arm.
"There is something you must know...Our father... Well, he is a overriding creature and he is well known around here. People tend to do what he tells them to do because they are afraid of him."
Elizabeth stood back with a dark frown, looking a bit uneasy hearing that. "Are you guys sure our father is just a lawyer?"
Jaendre gave a laugh and picked her luggage up, and we started to walk towards the exit.
"He is just a lawyer but a ruthless one at that...look, we don't want to badmouth him just... Just be careful." We reached the car and both Julia and our grandmother stood outside, eagerly waiting to meet her. First Julia with her sunny personality, taking Elizabeth by storm with hugs and excited screams and then our grandmother got to meet her granddaughter she never knew she had until recently.
The moment was almost fairylike and unreal. Even though they have never met before, they seemed to share a bond instantly and Elizabeth felt like she found another little piece of her that she always felt absent.
"Now that we have clasped and sobbed and whatever it is you women do, we can now go home." Jaendre announced after packing up all her luggage and we agreed getting in to the car, talking all at once which confused Jaendre especially because we understood precisely what was alleged and answered what was enquired.
"Oh, that's so pretty! It looks so familiar."Elizabeth pointed out as she took a seat next to me and everyone's eyes went to where she was pointing.
Around my wrist was a lose fitted gold chain bracelet, a man's bracelet and it had tiny symbols engraved in it here and there which made it seem even more unique.
