Sunlight filtered through the large windows of the library, a place where many people hung out. It was generally a quiet place, an especially amazing place when the warm sunset shines brightly, sending a cozy feeling down someone's spine. This time of day was when Rich loved to come into this peaceful place. The lovely smell of books entering his nose as a pleasant feeling trickled up his back.

Quiet footsteps echoed throughout the silent library as a short-statured boy walked between the many shelves. His small finger brushed against the spines of the differently textured books. Soft and gentle breaths escaped from Rich's mouth as the sunlight was glistening in the gaps. He stopped in his tracks when he reached the back area.

Many tables were set up, having such a beautiful light spread out across the wood. Rich walked over to his favorite spot in the whole library, occasionally running his hand over the tabletops. He enjoyed the feel of the fabric of the tablecloth under his palm.

His eyes glittered as the sunlight lay across the table. A perfect spot, closest to the window for a cozier experience. Rich had taken many pictures of Brooke here and he had to admit she looked gorgeous, as always. His best friend had agreed that this very table was the best place in the library, as they had tested one day when it was empty. During golden hour, the sun was the warmest in this very spot and had the best photographic results.

He returned back to this beautiful reality after spacing out in his cluttered thoughts. Going to the library everyday after school was really the most pleasant experience. The gentle sun on his back made him very relaxed as he sat down in a chair. Stretching his arm across the table, he admired the way that many rays of light spread on it. Rich took out his phone and took a photo of his bright, golden arm. He looked at the outcome and smiled softly.

I'd hate to ruin the moment but maybe you should return to doing the thing you came here for.

The Squip's voice interrupted Rich's peace, its agonizing voice rung in his ears as he proceeded to take out a large red binder. A blue ballpoint pen slid across the table as he opened up the binder, flipping through the pages. Occasionally, he would stop to look at a few pictures he had taken in the past but he mainly skimmed through all the pages.

His search came to a stop when he reached a packet titled "Locker Assignments". A few sheets of paper he stole from a school administrator a few months back. Taking it out the plastic sleeve it was inside of, Rich started looking down the list provided, searching for a certain name, one he had in his mind for the past week. He flipped the page and started to examine the back side. After flipping the pages a few more times, his green gaze focused on the name.

Jacob Dillinger

Uncapping the pen, he underlined his name and the locker number. Rich's teeth gritted together in irritation as he shoved the packet back in the plastic. He slammed the binder closed and slid it back in his backpack. Swinging the bag over his left shoulder, he stood up, glancing over at the window one more time, admiring the sunlight leaking through it.

"You have to break up with that slut."

Demanding words flowed roughly through the bright pink lips of a girl, who was a devil in Rich's eyes. The statement echoed in his ears, causing him to bite his chapped bottom lip frustratedly. His small fists clenched tightly, swearing under his quiet breaths. He was firmly pressed against the wall, broad shoulders were tensed up as he stayed alert for any administrators to walk by while monitoring the empty school. Taking a few more glances around the area, Rich relaxed his shoulders a bit before returning to his eavesdropping.
