Prologue

"Mr. salazar, I don't know what to do with you. All your works are disaster. Our group are in bad condition now because of you. We might get disbanded, and thrown out of the company. You better keep this up, or else we don't have any choice but to fire you even if you say you badly needed this freakin' job." Sabi ng Boss ko, habang ka-call ko sya sa telepono.

"Yes sir, I understand. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." Sagot ko at in-end na ang call.

Binalik ko ang cellphone ko sa bulsa at humiphip sa sigarilyo ko.

Pumikit ako atsaka ibinuga ang usok.

I wished everything is always like this. Peaceful.

After a few minutes, paubos na ang sigarilyo ko, humiphip ulit ako atsaka ibinagsak sa lupa ang sigarilyo, saka ay tinapakan ko.

Tumingin ako sa langit atsaka ibinugang muli ang usok.

"I just wish, everything would change all of a sudden." I whispered in the air. At unti-unti ay nawala sa paningin ko ang makapal na usok na humaharang sa paningin ko sa langit.

"A shooting star, huh?" I whispered again, nag-h-hallucinate na yata ako. Or something like, wishing to a shooting star will "never" be possible for your wish to happen, though. Lol. Never.

Tumalikod na ako at pumunta na sa parking lot kung nasaan ang kotse ko.

Napahilamos na lang ako sa mukha ko atsaka hinampas ang busina ng kotse ko. I vividly remember what my Boss said to me earlier.

Damn. I should hurry up and go home. I badly need rest.

Kung hindi lang ako pinilit ni mommy na mag trabaho sa kompanyang 'yon this wouldn't happen to me. I don't even deserve those nagging from that boss in the first place.

Dahil traffic ay kinuha ko muna ang bag ko sa backseat at hinalungkat ang gamit ko para hanapin ang gamot ko. It's almost 8 pm at evening.

Nakarinig ako ng busina at nakita kong green na pala ang pedestrian lights, kaya mabagal kong pinaandar ang kotse ko habang kinakapa ko pa din ang gamot sa bag ko.

Nang may mahawakan na akong maliit na bote ay sinulyapan ko kung tama na ba ang nakuha ko,

"Right." I said to myself and smiled. I straightened my eyes on the road but in just a glimpse, I was taken aback.

All was slow motion. A big truck are about to hit my car.

I quickly maneuvered my car to the right where I could dodge the truck.

Pero..  huli na ang lahat. Naabot nito ang likod ng kotse ko.

All I knew was my vision got blurry, the surroundings became like upside-down. My body's shaking, and all I feel was pain.

Ramdam ko na lang ang pananakit ng katawan ko at unti-unting pagkahilo ko. Kasabay ang mga maiingay na tunog ng sasakyan, pagsabog, at tunog ng kotse ko.

"Thank you for hanging out with us. Time check, it's 8:45 pm. We'll be right back, and get relaxed to the next song we'll play." I heard a girl's voice out of the radio.

"Ahh, shit." I cursed. Sinubukan kong ipunin lahat ng natitira kong lakas sa paggalaw at pagtanggal ng seatbelt ko, pero di ko na matanggal, even my right leg is stucked. Iginalaw ko yon dahilan para mapa-ungol ako sa sakit.

Hinawakan ko ang pintuan ng kotse ko at itinulak yon. But it's no use. Hindi ko din mabuksan.

I heaved a sigh out of frustration. Pagod na ako. Nangangalay na ang buong katawan ko. I just... I just want to get a rest. The hell, this is not the rest I wished for. I said and laughed bitterly.

Unti-unti ay habang pasara na ang mga mata ko ay ang payapang langit ang nakikita ng dalawang mata ko.

Its peaceful. Maraming bituin ang bumabalot sa kalangitan. I think its the end.

"Heyy. Need help there, sir?" Napadilat ako sa isang hindi pamilyar na boses. My vision got blurry, at pilit kong inaaninag ang nasa harap ko.

"You're badly hurt, ya'know." Sabi niya ulit.

Unti-unting luminaw ang paningin ko at tumambad sa akin ang isang batang babae. She has these long green hair at nakaipit ng dalawa both side of her head. She's wearing a yellow sweatshirt that partnered with a white jeans and light green shoes.

"Oh, you could see me?" Sabi niya at ngumiti ng malawak. She's holding a big lollipop at dinalaan 'yon.

Napailing ako. "Get out of here, kid. Later on, this car might explode. You'll die, you know." Pananakot ko sa kanya. Hirap man akong magsalita, but I want this kid not to meddle with this kind of things. 

But then, hindi ko inaasahan ang magiging response nya.

"Oh my gosh, Mister Vasco Jan Salazar. Do you think, I'd die that easily. Well then, I prefer to have you there also. But then... We'll save the talkings later." She said and laughed, like she was very amused of what I just said.

She knows me. Who's this little brat kid?

Unti-unting nanlabo ang mata ko, nakita kong tumayo ang batang babae at hinila ang pintuan ng kotse ko. Rinig na rinig ko pa ang pagbagsak ng pintuan ng kotse ko.

"You know, I might say, I'm your damsel in shining armor, Darling." She said and giggled.

After that ay nawalan na ako ng malay.

Everything is strange.

That girl... Is very strange.

And korny.

I will be adding some illustrations of the characters soon so you could have some idea of how they looked like for me. Tho, I'm not a good drawer hehe.
