Chapter 11

My relationship with Thomas is going very well.

Ever since our outing at the beach, we've been spending more time together every day as if we would die without seeing each other a day. 

I felt my love for is grew even more from how he treated me with love and care. 

Till one day Devon decided to pay me a visit. 

I was getting ready to go out with him when Devon decided to surprise me by appearing at my doorsteps. 

My parents invited him in since they knew him personally and started to chat with him. 

I was surprised to see him at my living room chatting along with my parents. 

"Oh! Hey honey. Devon is here to visit you", my mum looked at me while smiling. "He wanted to apologize for not seeing you lately since he's been busy. And you wouldn't pick his call so he decided to come straight here. Isn't that sweet?"

I'm feel like rolling my eyes. 

"I'll just grab us something to eat ya. Robert. Would you please give me a hand?" My mum asked my dad.

He was about to protest before seeing my mum's glare of not messing with her.

"Alright Susie" my dad agreed before reluctantly stood up and head to the kitchen with my mum.

So I stood there and look at Devon. 

"Spit it out. And be quick. I need to go out." I said to Devon impatiently.

"Why? Can't spare for me? Or can't wait to spend time with your dear Thomas?", Devon challenged me with his slight anger look.

"Do not mention Thomas name in this house!", I whisper shouted him. 

"Afraid that your parents will know that you are having affair?" He retort.

"What!? What the fish are you talking about ? I wasn't having affair ! If I'm having a relationship, it's with Thomas and not you!", I retorted back as I walk nearer to him, afraid that my parents will listen to our conversation.

"Well, it's not in your parents' eye. According to you parents' knowledge, I'm the one that is having relationship with you!" He said as he grabbed my waist tightly.

"Well, so what!? I'm going to tell my parents about Thomas sooner or later! Why don't you go back to your superstar girlfriend!" I snapped back as I try to get away from his hold. "Let go of me you jerk!"

"If I were you, I wouldn't move around much. It's only making me want to hold you tighter and never let go of you" He whisper at my ear. 

I felt the goosebumps and stop moving. 

"And you didn't even give me a chance to explain", He continue.

"Fine. You want to explain? First let me go", I said as I pull away from him. 

He let go of me and took a seat beside me as I took mine. I'm kind of fired up from the tiny argument we had moments ago. 

He turn to me and said," Well, the lady you saw the other day is no one to me. She's just a fiance that my parents and her parents' arranged" He explain. And I raised my eyebrow and gave him a 'I knew this' look while crossing my arms.

"But it doesn't mean anything to me. I took her to theater the other day is out of my parents' request as they kept saying I didn't give enough attention to my fiance" He continue.

"So? It doesn't have anything to do with me." I said. 

"Yes it does. You are the person that I love and you have the right to know this and not misunderstand it"
