We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

XLVI | RILEY

"Guys, how's Miami?" I asked Chase and Laurianne since I was Skyping them. I watched as Laurianne snuggled her head onto Chase's shoulder as they were both lying on what seems to be a bed.

Chase sighed, "the usual, my little cousins are still annoying as fuck. I hate how they had to follow us to my Grandmother's house," he grumbled and I laughed silently.

Reece was across the room, reading a book and I'm sure he's over there to have the least amount of noise affect him. I know I'd want to be away from the noise when reading.

I'm surprised my parents - especially my Dad - allowed Reece to sleep with me last night. I asked my Dad about three times if he was positive that me and Reece could share a room and this was his response: 'Sure, as long as you kids use those condoms I gave you. By the way, do you need more? It's been a while since I've bought you guys some.' I was thankful Reece wasn't there, but I was with Zoey, Ocean and Ronnie at that time and they all laughed at me.

And if you're wondering, yes I am still a virgin, so don't get any nasty ideas.

"Let me guess, Ryan tried to cut your hair in your sleep again?" I asked and Chase rolled his eyes.

"No, this time he was trying to dump my toothbrush in the toilet. If it wasn't for my aunt catching him on time before he did it--" he groaned and once again I silently laughed.

"To be honest Chase, that was pretty funny," Laurianne laughed and he rolled his eyes before examining my face.

His face showed confusion, "Did you pluck your eyebrows?" He questioned and I proudly nodded.

"Yup," I said. I groaned suddenly.

"Why the long face?" Chase asked, smirking.

"Satan's wedding is in two hours and I really don't want to go," I said frowning.

"Satan?" Laurianne questioned

"That's what Violetta calls her Grandma," he informed, stuffing some Cheetos in his mouth. Laurianne laughed. "Well, did you at least brag to her that you have finally gotten a boyfriend and went to a party as you told me you would?" Chase asked and my lips formed into a straight line, I looked at Reece who's eyebrow was raised as he was looking at me. When we get back home, I was going to kill Chase.

I cleared my throat and turned back to Chase and Laurianne as Laurianne rolled her eyes and shook her head in disappointment at Chase's comments.

"What? I was just wondering," he defended himself.

I sighed. "Goodbye, Chase," I said playfully angrily.

I said goodbye to Chase and Laurianne, turning off Reece's laptop because I left mine at home. I went on my phone, scrolling through all my social media. I realized I was bored and the only thing that came to mind was to go and disturb Reece.

"Babe," I said, walking over to him, his reading glasses were at the bridge of his nose.

He looked up from his book and looked at me. "Yes?" He asked.

"I'm bored," I whined.

He face seemed blank with no emotion what so ever. "And you're tellin' me because--"

I frowned,  "Me being bored equals you need to entertain me," I pointed out. He smirked and I rolled my eyes. "Not that type of entertainment, you horny idiot," I said. He laughed, placing both his reading glasses and the book on the coffee table.
