Chapter Four

Skylar's POV

From Dad:

Skylar, your mom and I will be out of town for a couple weeks. Be safe! :)

What! How can they do this to me. They're just leaving me in the middle of the night. I went down stairs and saw a note on the kitchen counter.

Skylar,

We have no idea how long until we will get back. We left $500 under our mattress. Stay safe. We won't be able to call you when we are gone. We want you to know we love you. It was an urgent matter and that's why we couldn't warn you. We're sorry.

I fell asleep. I would deal with this in the morning. Thank goodness that it was Saturday tomorrow.

The next morning, I called Meghan.

"Hey meg"

"Hey sky! what's up?"

"My mom and dad had to leave for work for a couple weeks. Can I stay with you?"

"Hold on, let me ask"

"Ok"

"Ok I'm back, my mom said that's fine"

"I'll be over soon, see you then"

"Bye, see you then"

"Bye"

I packed some clothes and headed over to Meghan's. I knocked on the door. Her dad answered.

"Hi Skylar, nice to see you."

"Hi, where's Meghan?"

"She's in her room"

"Thanks"

Her house was a mansion. Her parents were millionaires. They owned a business. Then I finally got to Meghan's room. Meghan was on her balcony.

"Hey sky! You can stay in the guest room, It's the room next door"

"Thank you for everything"

"No problem"

I went to my room for the next couple weeks. It was way bigger and nicer than my room at home. I unpacked my things. Then Meghan came in.

"I'm going to Starbucks, want to come?"

"Yeah, sure"

We got up and she drove us to Starbucks. We walked in and happen to run into Niall and Harry. I bet Meghan planned it. I ordered first, then Meghan.

"Can I have a grande caramel frapp"

"Can I also have the same"

After we all got our drinks we sat down. Then Meghan said

"Let's go to the beach"

"Why?" asked Niall

"Come on, it'll be fun!"

"Fine" I said.

Meg and I went back to her house and got changed. We left about ten minutes later.

"Why the beach, of all places?" I asked

"Why not"

She had that look on her face, she was planning something. We arrived at the beach and set up our stuff. Around five minutes later, Niall and Harry showed up. Meghan ran up to Niall and gave him a big hug. They were so cute. Then Meghan asked if she could talk to me alone.
